Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé de traitement de documents de valeur comportant la vérification d'un élément de sécurité du document de valeur, notamment de la vérification du type et/ou de l'authenticité et/ou de l'aptitude à mise en circulation d'un élément de sécurité à effet optiquement variable. Une détection mécanique de la lumière partant d'une zone éclairée de l'élément de sécurité dans une direction ou plusieurs directions différentes, cette direction ne correspondant pas à la direction de la réflexion, est effectuée en association avec une détection d'image de la zone éclairée, ce qui permet une vérification particulièrement simple et fiable de ces éléments de sécurité.
