Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à une composition destinée à des pièces pour véhicule automobile de mélange à mouler en feuille (SMC) et de mélange à mouler en vrac (BMC). Ladite composition comprend: (a) une résine polyester non saturée, (b) un additif approprié à faible retrait ou à très faible retrait ou un mélange de ceux-ci; (c) un mélange d'au moins deux peroxydes ne contenant pas de groupe benzoyle, l'un ayant une température de demi-vie d'une heure inférieure ou égale à 100 °C et l'autre ayant une température de demi-vie d'une heure supérieure à 100 °C, et (d) un sel ou complexe de métal de transition. De préférence, l'additif ne contient pas de benzène. Il est en outre préférable d'utiliser un mélange de deux peroxydes, l'un ayant une température de demi-vie d'une heure comprise entre 75 °C et 95 °C et l'autre ayant une température de demi-vie d'une heure comprise entre 105 °C et 125 °C. De préférence, la composition comprend un sel ou un complexe de cobalt, un sel ou un complexe de cuivre, ou un mélange de ces composés. L'invention se rapporte en outre à un procédé de préparation d'une pièce pour véhicule automobile de SMC ou BMC consistant à durcir ladite composition. L'utilisation de la composition de l'invention permet de préparer des produits de SMC/BMC à faible contenu total en composés volatils et à faible odeur.
