Abstract

Elektrokeramisches Bauelement mit einer Sicherung vor Überspannung, bei dem ein Strompfad zwischen einem ersten und einem zweiten elektrischen Kontakt (5, 15) definiert ist, der über wenigstens einen keramischen Grundkörper (1) und ein elektrisches Leiterstück (10) verläuft, bei dem das elektrische Leiterstück (10) im direkten Wärmekontakt mit dem Grundkörper steht und so ausgebildet ist, daß es bei Überschreitung der vorgesehenen Betriebsspannung des Bauelements infolge der Aufwärmung des Grundkörpers schmilzt und den Strompfad unterbricht. Elektrische Überschläge zwischen den Bereichen des Strompfades, die durch das elektrische Leiterstück (10) kontaktiert werden, werden durch ein elektrisch isolierendes Material (20) verhindert.
