Abstract
Cette composition pour moulage comprend de 0 à 85 % en poids d'un agrégat réfractaire, de 2 à 30 % en poids d'un liant hydraulique, de 0 à 20 % en poids d'un agent de fluidification, de 10 à 70 % en poids d'un fondant, et de 5 à 35 % en poids d'eau. Application dans le domaine de l'industrie de la céramique.
Description
Composition pour moulage
La présente invention est relative à une composition pour moulage dans le domaine de l'industrie de la céramique.
Actuellement, on assiste à un engouement pour le moulage de sujets ou pièces présents notamment dans des musées. Or, dans l'industrie de la céramique, le moulage de pièces de grande taille ou de formes complexes nécessite l'emploi de plusieurs moules et la mise en œuvre de techniques de raccordement entre les différentes pièces moulées : ceci entraîne de nombreuses manipulations pouvant être préjudiciables à la qualité de l'objet moulé et donc un coût important risquant de rendre le moulage de certaines pièces inintéressant sur un plan économique. Il est rappelé que les matériaux issus de l'industrie de la céramique traditionnelle sont dénommés faïence, grès, porcelaine sanitaire ou de collectivités, céramique en fonction de leur composition et/ou de leur utilisation, mais sont tous à base d'argile et sont moulés dans des moules absorbants et/ou par pressage.
Aussi, un des buts de la présente invention est-il de fournir une composition pour moulage, qui permet de réaliser le moulage de tout objet en une seule fois quelles que soient les dimensions et/ou la complexité de celui-ci.
Un autre but est de fournir une telle composition qui peut être utilisée en coopération avec tous les types de moules non-absorbants, souples ou rigides.
Ces buts, ainsi que d'autres qui apparaîtront par la suite, sont atteints par une composition pour moulage qui est caractérisée, selon la présente invention, par le fait qu'elle comprend de 0 à 85 % en poids d'un agrégat réfractaire, de 2 à 30 % en poids d'un liant hydraulique, de 0 à 20 % en poids d'un agent de fluidification, de
10 à 70 % en poids d'un fondant, et de 5 à 35 % en poids d'eau.
Avantageusement, cette composition comprend aussi de 0 à 40 % en poids d'une charge métallique, et au plus 2 % d'un ou plusieurs agents tensio-actifs.
De préférence, les agrégats réfractaires sont choisis parmi les argiles calcinées telles que les chamottes ou les molochites, l'alumine pure, la silice sous forme de quartz ou de cristobalite.
Avantageusement, le liant hydraulique est choisi parmi les ciments et les plâtres.
De préférence, le fondant est choisi parmi les feldspaths sodiques ou sodico-potassiques, la syénite néphélinique, le calcin, le verre broyé.
Avantageusement, l'agent tensio-actif est choisi parmi les agents mouillants, les débullants, les défloculants. La description qui va suivre et qui ne présente aucun caractère limitatif, per -
mettra à l'homme du métier d'être mieux à même de refaire la présente invention et d'en mieux comprendre les avantages.
Pour réaliser une composition selon la présente invention, on mélange à sec, en général, les différents constituants puis on ajoute de l'eau de telle sorte que la teneur en eau de la composition soit au plus de 35 %. Mais on peut aussi mélanger les différents constituants en les délayant dans l'eau sous agitation : on les introduira, par exemple, dans un ordre de difficulté de délayage décroissant.
Les exemples ci-après concernent un certain nombre de compositions qui ont été réalisées selon la présente invention.

Les objets obtenus ont été démoulés puis cuits aux températures ci-dessus.
Exemple 7 :
Il a été réalisé les différentes compositions ci-après pour obtenir un grès blanc en vue de son coulage sous vibration.
Les objets obtenus ont été démoulés puis cuits aux températures ci-dessus.
Après démoulage des objets obtenus à partir des compositions selon ces différents exemples, ces pièces obtenues encore humides doivent être séchées afin d'éviter leur explosion lors de la montée en température, dans la phase de cuisson.
Avant d'être émaillées, les pièces sont, si nécessaire, engobées par pulvérisation : ceci permet de cacher les irrégularités de surface notamment dues
aux grains de chamottes ainsi que la couleur du tesson si nécessaire.
Avant d'être émaillées, elles peuvent être également biscuitees c'est-à-dire cuites une première fois afin d'obtenir une meilleure qualité d'émail.
Les produits obtenus à partir des compositions selon la présente invention offrent une accélération du façonnage et permettent une durée de vie plus élevées des moules ainsi qu'un gain énergétique en rendant inutile leur séchage.
Claims
1. - Composition pour moulage, caractérisée par le fait qu'elle comprend de 0 à 85 % en poids d'un agrégat réfractaire choisi parmi les argiles calcinées, l'alumine pure, la silice sous forme de quartz ou de cristobalite et ayant une granulométrie inférieure ou égale à 0,7 mm, de 2 à 30 % en poids d'un liant hydraulique, de 0 à 20 % en poids d'un agent de fluidification, de 10 à 70 % en poids d'un fondant choisi parmi les feldspaths sodiques ou sodico-potassiques, les syénites néphéliniques, le calcin, le verre broyé, et de 5 à 35 % en poids d'eau.
2. - Composition selon la revendication 1 , caractérisée par le fait qu'elle comprend aussi de 0 à 40 % en poids d'une charge métallique, et au plus 2 % d'un ou plusieurs agents tensio-actifs.
3. - Composition selon la revendication 1 , caractérisée par le fait que le liant hydraulique est choisi parmi les ciments et les plâtres.
4.- Composition selon la revendication 2, caractérisée par le fait que l'agent tensio-actif est choisi parmi les agents mouillants, les débullants, les défloculants.
