  • Prior staple removing device which are conventionally used for removing metal staples from sheets or the like, usually comprise a gripper element, including two mutually pivoted arms, ending, at a driving end thereof, with a beak portion which can be arranged at the staple to be removed, and an ejector element which, as is driven toward the beak element, causes the beak element to engage under the metal staple for removing it from the sheet material.
  • the aim of the present invention is to overcome the above mentioned drawbacks, by providing a construction-wise simple staple removing device w,hich can be made as a monolithic element of very simple structure, while providing very high operating capabilities
  • a main object of the present invention is to provide such a staple removing device which can be operated and handled in a very simple manner and which, moreover, has a very small size.

  • a metal staple removing device of simplified construction characterized in that said device comprises an abutment element having an attachment portion extended with a loop part, which ends with a beak laying substantially perpendicular to said attachment portion and adapted to be arranged near a metal staple to be removed.
  • an ejector element is associated, said ejector element comprising a flexible foil element coupled, at one end thereof, to said attachment portion, whereas the other movable end portion thereof is arranged near said beak and can be engaged with a metal staple for removing or ejecting it.

  • the beak 5 is provided with a substantially pointed end and a thickness tapering 6, thereby the tapering end portion 6 can be advantageously arranged at a metal staple so as to wedge thereunder.
  • an ejector element 10 is coupled, said ejector element comprising a foil or blade element 11 which, at one end thereof, is connected to the attachment portion 3.
  • connection can be made by rivets 12, as shown in the drawing, by welding or any other suitable mechanical method, adapted to firmly connect the end portion of the flexible foil or blade element 11 to the attachment portion 3.
  • the other end portion of the foil or blade element 11 can be arranged at the metal staple to be removed and is provided with notches 14 for removing staples of small width for a passage of the bent arms of the metal staples.
  • the end portion provided with said notches 14 can be displaced, by resiliently bending the foil or blade element, near the beak 5 and can be engaged with the metal staple in order to eject the latter, since the tapering portion 6 will be engaged with a wedge-like type of engagement under the metal staple, with a gradual removal thereof.
  • a metal staple removing device which is very simple construction-wise, since it comprises two elements which are not mutually articulated to one another, but are fixed at one end thereof, and which exploit the inherent resilient properties of one of said elements in order to provide a mutual displacement thereof.
