Abstract

L'invention concerne un appareil polyvalent (2), permettant de commander la transmission de forces rotatives entre des premier et second organes rotatifs. Cet appareil prend de préférence la forme d'un embrayage pouvant être activé par déplacement axial d'un organe d'actionnement interne (140), sous l'effet de milieux gazeux ou liquide introduit dans ledit appareil. Cet embrayage comprend des premier et second organes de transmission (177, 281), montés rotatifs à l'intérieur d'un carter (5), et conçus pour se fixer respectivement aux premier et second organes rotatifs. Un ensemble de couplage (226), comprenant de préférence des premier et second ensembles d'organes de jonction axialement espacés (252-254 et 274, 275) est placé entre lesdits organes de transmission (177, 284), à l'intérieur du carter, tout mouvement de l'organe d'actionnement (140) poussant ces organes de jonction (252-254 et 274, 275) à entrer en contact par frottement. Dans un mode de réalisation préféré, les premier et second ensembles d'organes de jonction axialement espacés (252-254 et 274, 275), entrés en contact par frottement, sont mis dans une position de relâchement au moyen de rondelles Belleville placées dos à dos (264-268), maintenant ainsi une force de relâchement constante, quelle que soit l'usure des surfaces de frottement. Afin de réduire au minimum les coûts de fabrication, le carter (5) est coulé dans de l'aluminium. Pour s'assurer que l'embrayage puisse fonctionner efficacement dans différents milieux fluides, les surfaces intérieures (19, 58) dudit carter (5), contre lesquelles s'appuient des joints (155, 170) de l'organe d'actionnement (140), sont revêtues d'un revêtement dur d'oxydation superficielle, pourvu d'une garniture TEFLONTM et époxy.
