Abstract

Improvements related to a system for parking and handling vehicles and boxed goods consisting of a storage structure and carrying means for said vehicles and goods, said storage structure comprising at least one structured platform fixed to supporting means, said carrying means, which comprise at least one carrying platform, being slidingly attached to vertical structural members, the loading and unloading of said vehicles and boxed goods being provided by conveyors installed in said structured platform and in said carrying platform. The loading and unloading of vehicles in said lift as well as in the parking bays is done with roller- or spherical-conveyors. The storage structure can be appended to the side of an existing building, leaving the ground level unimpeded for circulation of pedestrians and vehicles.

I M PROVEM ENTS RELATED TO A SYSTEM FOR PARKING AND HANDLING VEHICLES AND BOXED GOODS, said system consisting of a storage structure and a loading structure, said storage structure comprising al least one structured platform ( 14) fixed to supporting means, characterized by the fact that said loading structure provides the displacement of the loads along 3 orthogonal axes comprising a cage-like carrying lift (B) shdingly attached to the horizontal members of a wider rectangular frame (C) having its main plane vertically oriented and slidingly attached to vertical members fixed to said storage stnicture, said carrying lift, comprising at least one carrying platform, providing the displacement of the loads along the horizontal x axis, said rectangular frame providing the displacement of the loads along the vertical z xis and the loading and unloading of said loads along the horizontal y axis provided by conveyors installed in said structured platforms and in said carrying platform

IMPROVEMENTS RELA T ED TO A SYSTEM FOR PARKING AND HAND1 ING VEHIC LES AND BOXED GOODS according to claim 1 , characterized by the fact that said storage structure comprises structured platforms having a mam frame consisting of four horizontal beams ( 16) joined at their ends to corner pieces ( 17), the vertical distance between successive platforms being determined by spacer pieces ( 18) having the same cross-section as said coiner pieces, said corner pieces and said spacer pieces fitting on the outside corners of the vertical structural members ( 15) of the storage structure..

8 IMPROVEMEN TS RELATED TO A SYSTEM FOR PARKING AND HANDLING VEHIC LES AND BOXED GOODS according to claims 1 or 9, characteπzed by the fact that the conveyors in any structured platform are powered by the carrying platform s conveyors by means of power coupling means such as gears, friction cylinders or wheels.

IM PROVEMENTS RELA TED TO A SYS TEM FOR PARKING AND HAN Dl ING VEHIC LES AND BOXED GOODS according to claims 1 or 9, characteπ/ed by the fact that the carrying platform conveyors are powered by any structured platform's conveyors by means of power coupling means such as gears, friction cylinders or wheels
10 IMPROVEMENTS RELA TED TO A SYS TEM FOR PARKING AND HAN Dl ING VEHICLES AND BOXED GOODS according to claim I , characterized by the fact that said conveyors comprise independently powered rollers, said rollers being cylindrical rollers or multidiretional spherical rollers.

IMPROVEMENTS RELA TED TO A SYSTEM FOR PARKING AND HANDLING VEHIC LES AN D BOXED GOODS according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that the openings of the storage structure as well as those of the carrying lift (B) can be closed, either partially or completely, by protective panels bearing advertisements or information

IM PROVEMENTS RELATED TO A SYSTEM FOR PARKING AND HANDl ING VEH ICLES AND BOXED GOODS according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that all motions of the loads provided by the loading structure as well as the motions of said conveyors are remotely controlled from a control center ( 1 ) located inside or outside the parking system.

IM PROVEMEN TS RELATED TO A SYSTEM FOR PARKING AND HAN LING VEHICLES AND BOXED GOODS according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that the slorage structure does not rest upon the ground, being supported and appended to an existing building, either on the outside or the inside of said building.
