To this end, according to document EP-A-037804, a watch is described and proposed, traditionally constituted by a case with a bezel, a mechanism or movement contained in said case, and needles mounted on said mechanism by at least an axis, but arranged with a decorative piece, flat and hollow, one of the outer faces of which forms the watch face. The interior of this decorative piece constitutes a sealed enclosure, flattened, relatively thin, and freely encloses, for example, one or more decorative elements or decorative materials, for example a liquid, moving in the enclosure according to the position of the movements of the watch, and thereby creating a variable and different decorative motif or effect, particularly attractive or remarkable. To this end, at least one wall of the decorative piece is planar and transparent, and has an outer face forming the dial of the watch, facing the bezel. And a hole, for example axial, is formed in the decorative piece for the passage of the axis or axes of the needles.
Document DE-U-9300096 mentions the possibility of incorporating into a watch, in a structure that is not shown and is not defined, a decorative piece, flat and hollow, composed of two transparent plates, held parallel to one another. The present invention proposes to find a structure or construction of the decorative flat piece of a watch as defined above, particularly resistant at low height, easily achievable industrially and in large series, and adapted in particular to be obtained from flat glass under relatively small thickness.
La présente invention est maintenant décrite, par référence au dessin annexé dans lequel :According to the present invention, the decorative piece comprises, in an assembled manner, an outer ring and an inner sleeve, of comparable or identical thickness or height. The inner sleeve has an axial hole for the passage of the axis of the needles. The ring and the bush brace, on one side, a transparent plate, preferably produced, although not exclusively, in flat glass of small thickness, pierced for the passage of the axis of the needles, and on the other side at least one other plate, also drilled for the passage of the needle axis, and parallel to the transparent plate. The watch shown in Figure 1, under the general reference 1, is traditionally composed by a case 2, metallic or plastic, a strap 24 worn and assembled appropriately on the case 2, a bezel 3 in crimped glass on the housing 2, a mechanism or movement 4 (shown in Figure 2), and hands 5 and 6, mounted respectively by pins 7 and 8 on said mechanism and arranged between the bezel 3 and the decorative piece 9 which will be question below, forming the watch face.
Le mécanisme ou mouvement 4 peut être de type mécanique, électromécanique, digital, à quartz, etc..The mechanism or movement 4 can be of mechanical, electromechanical, digital, quartz type, etc.
L'ensemble de la montre 1, de forme générale circulaire, présente un axe général de symétrie X-X'.As shown in Figure 2, the housing 2 is obtained by assembling a cylindrical body 25 of the housing, closed at its lower part by a flat bottom 26. The assembly of watch 1, of generally circular shape, has an axis general symmetry X-X '.
A decorative, flat and hollow part 9 is mounted inside the housing 2, via the O-ring 28 which will be discussed below, against a shoulder formed in the body 25 of the housing, and between, on one side the needles 5 and 6, and on the other side the mechanism 4. The interior of this part 9 constitutes a flattened enclosure 10, relatively thin and of constant thickness, and contains at least one decorative element or material 11, for example sand. At least one wall 12 of the part 9, in this case the upper wall according to FIG. 2, is transparent and has an external face 12a forming a dial facing the bezel 3. An axial hole 9a is provided in this part 9, for the passage of the axes 7 and 8 of the needles 5 and 6 respectively. In general, and in accordance with the present invention, this decorative part 9 is obtained by assembling, as better represented in FIG. 4, a outer ring 13 and an inner sleeve 14, arranged at the same level and of substantially equal thickness, of a transparent plate 15, forming the transparent upper wall of the part 9, and of at least one other transparent plate 16 or not, arranged parallel to said transparent plate. The inner sleeve 14 has an axial hole 14c, for the passage of the axes 7 and 8 of the needles 5 and 6, and for the same purposes, the transparent plate 15 is drilled according to 15a, and the plate 16 according to 16a. The outer ring 13 and the inner sleeve 14 are arranged to brace, in a parallel manner, on one side the transparent plate 15, and on the other side said other plate 16.
The transparent plate 15 is made of very thin flat glass, and it may or may not be the same for the other plate 16. The outer ring 13 and the inner sleeve 14 are made of a metallic material, for example by turning, or in a molded plastic.
As shown in Figure 4, the inner sleeve 14 and the outer ring 13 each have, according to their two edges or ends, upper 13a or 14a, and lower 13b or 14b respectively two shoulder ents. The shoulders upper (a) and lower (b) of the ring and bush respectively form two interlocking stops of the two plates 15 and 16 respectively.
The gap of constant thickness or height, formed between the plates 15 and 16, forms the enclosure 10, flattened, relatively thin, which contains the decorative element or elements, or the decorative material 11, free in said enclosure.
In accordance with the representation of FIG. 4, the other plate 16 is made of very thin flat glass, like the transparent plate 15, and is covered with a metal plate 45, forming the outer wall of the decorative piece 9. This metal plate comprises several projections 27a and 27b intended to retain the mechanism 4 of the watch, by force engagement of these projections in corresponding holes of said mechanism.
The plates 15, 16, and 45 are fixed on the two bearing surfaces (13a, 14a) (13b, 14b) respectively, by any suitable means such as gluing, crimping, stamping, or clipping.
The enclosure 10 is filled by a radial hole 13d, formed in the outer ring 13, which is closed after filling with an O-ring 28 retained on the outer face of the outer ring 13 by a peripheral groove. As indicated above, this O-ring also has the function of retaining the decorative piece 9, on which the mechanism 4 is fixed, on the housing body 28. The radial hole 13d can be sealed off by any other means, for example a plug.
The glass top plate 15 may have any suitable marking, for example hollow or projecting patterns, printed or painted, so as to form a dial. This upper plate can also be colored or tinted, on the surface or in the mass. The embodiment of FIG. 6 differs from that shown and explained above, in that the inner bush 14 and the plate 16, parallel to the transparent plate 15, form a single and single monobloc component 17 comprising a sleeve 19 and a radial partition 20 at the end of said sleeve. Preferably, but not exclusively, the one-piece component 17 is made of a transparent plastic material. The decorative piece 9 shown in Figure 7 differs from that shown in Figures 1 to 5, in that the outer ring 13 and the plate 16, parallel to the transparent plate 15, form a single and single component 22 in shape bowl with straight edge. The decorative piece 9 shown in Figure 8 differs from that shown in Figure 7, in that the one-piece component 17 also incorporates the outer ring 13, whereby this component has the shape of a continuous annular groove 18, surrounding the sleeve 19, and delimited by the latter and an external continuous edge 21.
The decorative piece 9 shown in Figure 9 differs from that shown in Figure 8 in that the one-piece component 17 also incorporates the transparent plate 15, whereby this component 17 is obtained, for example by molding or blowing a material plastic, directly in the form of decorative piece 9, flat and hollow.
Compared to FIG. 9, and according to FIG. 10, the transparent plate 15 is articulated, for example by a hinged film 23 of plastic material, on the rest of the monobloc component 17.
