Abstract

The proposed method of removing crude oil or oil products from a surface involves treating the surface in question with a dispersed polymer-containing composite material, specifically, a linear polymer with an unlimited degree of swelling in crude oil or oil products and applied to a light mineral or organic inert filler. Regeneration of the product involves mixing the spent product with an excess of initial crude oil or oil product. The method of using the product involves mixing the spent product with a sand/grit mixture or with road or roofing bitumen used in the construction of roads and buildings. The used product can also be used in the production of clayfiller or as a fuel.
