Abstract
To be able to dispense with a pressure reservoir for a brake booster that works with pneumatic overpressure and is actuated by means of a brake pedal, the invention proposes that the first chamber (20) on the brake pedal side of a movable wall (4) which divides the booster housing (10) into two chambers (20, 21) have a continuous connection with a compressed-air source (2) and that when actuated, a control valve (11) controlling the pneumatic pressure differential acting on the movable wall (4) establish a connection to the atmosphere for the second chamber (21) on the side of the movable wall (4) facing away from the brake pedal.
