Abstract

A device consisting of a shaped section (1) with an outer rim (12) for bearing the load being lifted, said section having slidably mounted therein a support (4) for a ground-engaging base (5) with a lever means being provided between the section and the support for effecting relative movement therebetween and moving the rim (12) relative to the base in order to lift the load. The device is characterized in that the lever means consists of a cam (3) connected to a control rod (31) and rotatably mounted on a shaft (2) of said shaped section, whereby said cam's edges rest on said support (4).
