Abstract

The sofa jack includes a base plate with wheels E, an outer case G having a pyramid shape, an air bag lifting mechanism F, a cylinder or jack chamber B inside the outer case G which stabilises up and down movement, a foot pump A pump connected to the air bag F, an air valve D to release air from the air bag F and a platform C which may project through a slot in the outer case G. The jack may be used to lift heavy furniture for cleaning. Two or more jacks may be used together.

Description -A Sofa Jack
1) Sofa Jack used to lift and move sofa's too large or heavy for manual handling.
2) Easy to operate:-a) Pull platform (H) to horizontal position at front of Jack (13).
All air should be out of system (F) b) Four wheels (E) allow the Jack to be easily rolled under sofa, with platform (C) still in horizontal position c) At the rear of Jack the foot pump (A) is located, using footpump (A) will fill air bag (F) chamber inside Jack.
d) The airbag (F) inside the Jack is the lifting mechanism with the platform (C) attached to top of airbag (F) e) A slot (G) in the front of the outer casing (G) allowing the platform (C) to move up or down therefore the airbag (F) can then expand in the Jack chamber (B) f) This allows the Jack to maximum height without movement g) The pyramid shape of the Jack allows weight to be evenly spread h) Two or more Jacks should be used to ensure correct movement and safety of person or persons operating Jack i) To release after use the valve (D) at rear of Jack, unscrew cap (D) on valve ( ), which will release air from airbag (F)
