Abstract

In prior art joins of this kind, the sealing compound between the parts is melted into a porous metal layer applied to the first part, or it is a fusion adhesive applied in the form of a filament or film in an annular groove in the first part, or it can be a hardening film applied while still in the viscous state to the part. The invention uses synthetic resin as the sealing compound, simplifying the production of such joins and thus reducing the cost of the end product. The preferred application of the invention is in the production of joins with electrical components such as plugs and sensors.

Description

Spaltfreie Verbindung zwischen einem ersten Teil und einem auf dieses aufσespritzen KunststoffteilGap-free connection between a first part and a plastic part sprayed onto it
Stand der TechnikState of the art
The invention is based on a gap-free connection between a first part and a plastic part produced by injection molding and sprayed onto the first part according to the preamble of the main claim. In the case of such connections, the sealing compound arranged between the parts is melted or melted when the plastic is sprayed on, after which it forms a cohesive connection with the two parts, which ensures the desired freedom from sealing and gaps. In a known gas and liquid-tight connection of the generic type (DE-PS 1 001 483), a highly porous metal layer is sintered or sprayed onto a metal body forming the first part, into which a plastic compound serving as a solder or connection layer is melted. This embodiment requires several additional work steps, which make the finished product more expensive, and is limited to the connection of injection molded plastic parts with metal parts.
In the case of another connection of the generic type (DE-P 39 30 702.6) which is part of the prior art according to § 3 (2) PatG, the sealing compound provided between the plastic parts to be connected is a Hot melt adhesive, which in the initial state is introduced in the form of a thread or a film into a groove-shaped depression in the first part, or is applied as a hardening film in a viscous state to the first part.
Vorteile der ErfindungAdvantages of the invention
The arrangement according to the invention with the characterizing features of the main claim has the advantage that no precautions must be taken to make the product more expensive to accommodate the sealant on the first part and that the sealant can be applied to the first part with measures that are well suited for mass production.
The measures contained in the subclaims allow advantageous developments of the arrangement according to the main claim.
A design that also meets high demands with regard to gas and moisture tightness results if a solvent-containing PUR or alkyd resin lacquer is used as the sealing compound.
If the first part carrying the sealing compound is a metallic component, e.g. A contact pin of an electrical connector results in a simple design if this part is provided with a coating of baked enamel in the contact zone encompassed by this after the plastic has been sprayed on.
Zeichnungdrawing
Beschreibung des AusführungsbeispielsAn embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing and explained in more detail in the following description. 1 shows a connector holder in side view and partly in section, FIG. 2 shows the connector holder according to FIG. 1 in the direction of arrow A in FIG. 1, and FIG. 3 shows, on an enlarged scale, a metallic contact element of the connector holder according to FIG. 1. Description of the embodiment
The plug holder has a plastic holding body 10 which has a support flange 14 provided with bores 12 for fastening screws and a plug socket 16 which is integrally connected to it. Arranged in this are a plurality of metallic contact pins 18, the end portions of which on the right in FIG. 1 protrude through a recess 20 in the holding body 10 and protrude beyond the side wall 22 thereof. The other end sections of the contact pins 18 project into a recess 24 of the holding body 10 that extends from the free end face of the socket 16.
The holding body 10 is sprayed onto the metallic contact pins 18. In order to obtain a gap-free or pressure-tight and moisture-tight connection between the parts, the not yet overmolded contact pins 18 (FIG. 3) are in a region 26 which also encompasses the contact zone later encompassed by the plastic and has a coating 28 of baked lacquer Mistake. This is applied to the contact pin 18 by dipping or spraying and has a melting point which is below the injection molding temperature of the plastic forming the holding body 10.
The coating 28 is melted when the plastic forming the holding body 10 is sprayed on and, when it solidifies, forms a cohesive connection with the plastic and the metallic surface of the contact pin 18, which results in the desired freedom from gaps or leaks. The contact pins 18 are provided with annular grooves 30, which ensure a positive anchoring in the holding body 10.
