Description

Lautsprecherbox Speaker box
Beispiele sind offenbart in DE-GM 81 06 248, DE-OS 2328813, 2433916, DE-GM 85 11 970, DE-OS 27 01 080, DE-OS 24 26666, DE-GM 8529497.The invention relates to a loudspeaker box. Loudspeakers usually consist of an often regularly, sometimes irregularly shaped housing, on or on which two, three or even more loudspeakers are generally arranged. Examples are disclosed in DE-GM 81 06 248, DE-OS 2328813, 2433916, DE-GM 85 11 970, DE-OS 27 01 080, DE-OS 24 26666, DE-GM 8529497.
The housing must have certain minimum dimensions in order on the one hand to act as a resonance body and on the other hand to ensure that the sound is emitted as uniformly as possible on all sides. For this purpose, reflectors or "acoustic lenses" are occasionally provided.
The function of the well-known loudspeakers can be seen from the outside, and they can only be called decorative furnishings in very rare cases.
The object of the invention is to create a loudspeaker box which, due to its all-round uniform radiation behavior, is both independent of its installation location and independent of the installation method, ie orientation, but still surpasses the sound pattern of conventional loudspeaker boxes. Another aspect of the invention is to design this loudspeaker box so that its function as a loudspeaker box cannot be seen in order to create a decorative, for example lamp-like piece of furniture in which optimal protection of the technology, in particular of the sensitive loudspeaker itself, is ensured is.
The invention is defined in the independent claims; the sub-claims define expedient developments of the invention.
The preferably truncated pyramid-shaped housing does not reveal from the outside that it is a loudspeaker box, especially not if the loudspeaker systems are mounted inside the housing, i.e. are not screwed onto or onto a baffle, as is customary with other loudspeakers, and the housing walls are additionally e.g. consist of translucent plastic, behind which, inside the housing, a light source is preferably arranged. the loudspeaker box stands on the strut-like integrated box feet described in detail below. This ensures optimal acoustic decoupling of the speaker from its base.
A preferred embodiment of the loudspeaker box according to the invention is shown largely schematically in the accompanying drawings and is described in detail below.
Fig. 1 shows the box in side view; Fig. 2 shows a side view of the arrangement of the woofer; Fig. 3 shows a partial section along line 3-3 in Fig. 1; Fig. 4 shows the structure of a box foot.
You can see in ig. 1 the box housing in the form of a three-sided, regular truncated pyramid with walls 10 made of translucent plastic. In the corner areas, where two walls adjoin each other, a tubular support 12 is provided, also made of translucent or transparent material. As can be seen in FIG. 3 leaves, each carrier is glued or potted with the abutting edges of the walls 10, and a transparent plastic profile inserted into the millings of the walls connects the two walls in a form-fitting manner. The cavity between the profile 14, the walls 10 and the support 12 is potted with transparent material, so that an acoustically optimal, yet stable construction is realized.
Just below the upper horizontal end edge 16 of the walls 10, in the interior of the housing, a tweeter loudspeaker 20 is fastened to a frame 18 and a mid-range loudspeaker 22 underneath it; underneath both there is an insulating layer 24 made of wadding or the like.
The carriers 12 extend beyond the edges 16 and carry a spherical-shell-shaped reflector 28, which ensures that the sound waves emitted by the loudspeakers 20 and 22 are deflected and uniformly distributed all around. With this principle, the optimum loudspeaker tuning is achieved by actively controlling the loudspeakers 20 and 22.
A triangular base plate 32 is inserted just above the lower horizontal edge 30 of the walls and carries a low-frequency loudspeaker above a central, round cutout 34, which radiates downwards. Below it is a triangular hard foam plate 38 elastically bonded flush with the inside edges of the housing; for example with a foam surround; which, when installed, serves as a passive membrane and increases the membrane area by a considerable amount. It can be seen that, owing to the completely centrally symmetrical structure, a correspondingly completely uniform radiation characteristic must result.
A light source, for example a UV light tube, is preferably arranged between the upper and lower loudspeaker groups, and the base plate can serve as a support. Since such light sources are known per se, the illustration has been omitted in the drawing. However, it is worth mentioning that the color of the loudspeaker box can be changed as desired with little effort, for example by inserting differently colored, fluorescent rods. A crossover is also housed on the base plate, which contains and controls the output stages for the active high-mid-range unit and supplies the low-frequency system directly with the audio signal.
As can be seen in FIG. 4, the carriers 12 are tubular and closed at the upper end. Round plastic rods 42 are inserted into these carriers, which are supported at the upper end on a spiral spring 44 which is fastened to the frequent, closed end of the carrier. By correctly matching the spring to the weight of the housing, the speaker is suspended freely and is acoustically decoupled from the base. It goes without saying that a foam block or another spring element can also be used instead of the screw spring.
