Definitions
- the invention relates to a band saw machine according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Band saws with a diamond-coated band saw blade are used. In order to be able to process heavy workpieces such as tombstones or the like, this is placed on a work table, the heavy workpiece being carried by rollers for better mobility. In addition, the band saw itself or the work table can perform a linear movement in the direction of the saw cut.
- a diamond band saw for stone workpieces has become known, for example, from German utility model 85 16 377, in which the workpiece is placed on a double-jointed cantilever arm with an additional turntable. By turning the workpiece by means of the turntable, the band saw can make convex cuts.
- the described device has the disadvantage that linear cuts are poor due to a lack of sufficient guidance - and concave cuts cannot be carried out at all.
- a device for trimming the edges of stones has also become known, in which the machining head including the motor and gear is arranged on a cantilever horizontally.
- the machining head is a cutting disc, a grinding head, a milling cutter or the like.
- the machining table is designed to be movable perpendicular to this direction of movement of the machining head, an upper frame additionally resting on the worktable being provided for angular adjustment of the workpiece and for producing circular arcs .
- an upper frame additionally resting on the worktable being provided for angular adjustment of the workpiece and for producing circular arcs .
- the invention has for its object to provide a band saw machine, in particular for processing natural stones, which allows maximum flexibility in use and both convex and concave curve cuts and precise linear cuts in all directions.
- the invention is based on the main idea that the mobility of both the workpiece and the band saw must be ensured, with linear movements in all directions in the horizontal plane and rotary movements around a vertical axis of rotation must be made possible. Since a rotary movement of a workpiece on a rotary table or a rotary table only allows the production of convex cuts, an additional rotary movement of the band saw itself is provided.
- a cross table guide is used both for the workpiece and for the band saw to carry out the horizontal movements.
- the workpiece and the band saw are arranged on a turntable for carrying out a rotary movement, which is fastened on the cross table guide.
- the band saw machine according to the invention has the advantage over the known devices that the workpiece can move freely in a horizontal plane, with the cross table guide making it possible to make precise linear cuts by defining a coordinate guide. Due to the additional mobility of the band saw itself on a cross table guide, the cutting movement can be carried out either by the workpiece or by the tool or by both.
- the processing plate is designed as a perforated plate with a geometric grid, on which the workpiece can be moved very easily by means of displaceable roller balls or rollers. If only large parts have to be machined, these are usually sufficient the processing table, attached rollers for moving the workpiece.
- the holes for these roles are made in known tables as required. However, if the workpieces are processed in a much more difficult way, this requires a much finer division of the support for the workpiece.
- the use of a perforated plate or perforated plate is particularly advantageous since the holes can be used to hold the roller balls or rollers at any point. Another advantage is that the water on the processing table does not splash but can drain better through the holes.
- the combination of a perforated plate as a support table with a double articulated arm is particularly advantageous.
- the double articulated arm can be swiveled to any position in the area of the table to form an additional bearing for the workpiece and a pivot point for the workpiece.
- the workpiece can also be fixed on the perforated plate alone using fixing mandrels in certain positions for the production of radii.
- roller balls An advantageous embodiment of the roller balls is described in subclaims 9 to 11.
- FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the
- Fig. 2 shows an alternative embodiment of the invention with perforated plate and double articulated arm and
- Fig. 3 is an enlarged view of a roller ball bearing.
- the band saw machine (10) shown in the figure consists of a conventional diamond band saw (11) with a diamond saw blade (12), as is known from the processing of natural stones, such as tombstones or the like.
- a processing table (13) is arranged in front of the band saw (11) and can be covered in a known manner by a table top (14).
- the table top (14) can be equipped in a known manner with rollers, not shown, on which the heavy workpiece can be placed and moved.
- both the processing table (13) and the band saw (11) are provided with a cross table guide (15, 16).
- the cross table guide (15) has two longitudinal guide rods (17), which are aligned in the cutting direction (X axis), and two transverse guide rods (18) for carrying out a movement perpendicular to the cutting movement (Y axis).
- the transverse guide rods (18) are connected to the longitudinal guide rods (17) via guide sleeves (19).
- the guide sleeves (20) which are designed as a guide table (21) and on which a processing table (22) which is rotatable about the vertical axis of rotation (Z) and is designed as a turntable, run on the transverse guide rods (18).
- the height of the turntable (22) can be adjusted continuously using a vertical rotary spindle (23).
- the turntable (22) is only schematic in the drawing shown. Of course, it can be made much larger. If the cross table guide (15) with the turntable (22) is used, the table top (14) is removed.
- the longitudinal guide rod (17) facing the band saw (11) is offset inward by a length 1, ⁇ 50 to 100 cm from the outer table edge (24) facing the band saw (11), so that the band saw (11) when performing the Transverse movement in the Y direction can protrude into the table area.
- the band saw (11) is mounted on the cross table guide (16), consisting of the longitudinal guide rods (25) for carrying out a movement in the cutting direction (X axis) and transverse guide rods (26) for carrying out a movement in the transverse direction for the cutting movement (Y axis) .
- the transverse guide rods (26) are connected to the longitudinal guide rods in the X direction by means of guide sleeves (27).
- a turntable (28) which can be rotated about the Z axis is connected to the further guide sleeves (29) which run in the Y direction on the transverse guide rods (26).
- the vertical rotating spindle for the turntable (28) is not shown in detail in FIG. 1. It is carried out analogously to how the turntable (22) is fastened, but height adjustment is unnecessary.
- the turntable (28) there are two further guide rods (30) which are aligned in the basic position in the Y direction, that is to say transversely to the cutting direction.
- the guide sleeves (31) run on these guide rods (30) to form the guide table (32) which carries the band saw (11).
- the band saw (11) can therefore perform a relative movement on the turntable (28).
- the central perpendicular or axis of rotation (34) is represented by the center (33) of the turntable (28), ie the turntable (28) rotates about the vertical axis of rotation (34).
- the entire turntable can be moved on the guide rods (26) in the Y direction.
- FIG. 2 shows a variant in the design of the table top (14 *) as a perforated plate or perforated plate with the introduced holes (35).
- the holes (35) are arranged in a grid system, which is indicated by dashed lines is. 2, the grid is designed as a square grid.
- the holes (35) of the perforated plate (14 *) have two functions. On the one hand, they serve to hold rollers (36) or roller balls (36) (see FIG. 3). These rollers or roller balls (36) can easily be inserted and screwed into the holes (35) of the perforated plate by means of insertion pins (46), the positioning on the perforated plate being selected according to the workpiece size and workpiece machining. For example, mosaic machining of a workpiece requires the workpiece to be supported at short intervals. A very large workpiece, on the other hand, only needs to be supported at a few, widely spaced points.
- the perforated plate has the task of deriving * on the table continually accumulating liquid cooling medium, so that it does not splash when machining workpieces.
- the workpiece can also be positioned and fixed on the perforated plate itself. Due to the fine division of the holes, it is possible to attach a fixing mandrel through the hole or a suction cup to the workpiece at any point in order to be able to rotate it around this point.
- the grid size of the perforated plate is z.
- a further hole (35 ') can be made in the center of each grid square.
- a double-joint cantilever arm (37) with the individual arms (38 and 39) and the turntable (40) can be used.
- the double articulated cantilever arm (37) is attached to the processing table (13) via a joint (41). The height of the turntable (40) can be adjusted.
- the extension arm (37) can be pivoted via the articulated arms (38, 39) both in the area of the perforated plate (14 ') that has been removed and in any other position inside and outside the table.
- the turntable (40) can be used as an additional support for the workpiece. If necessary, it can also be arranged below the perforated plate (14 ') in order to fix the pivot point of the workpiece.
- the turntable (40) is provided with a fixing mandrel (42) or a suction cup.
- the position of the arms (38, 39) can be fixed in a manner known per se via locking elements (not shown).
- perforated plate (14 ') and double articulated cantilever arm (37) enables optimal machining of large and small workpieces, both the perforated plate (14 * ) and the turntable (40) having both a support function and a fixing function for rotating the workpiece to have a fixed point.
- the joint (41) or bearing (41) for fastening the cantilever arm (37) can be fixed at different points on the "machining table" (13). This is particularly true for adapting the position of the turntable (40) to different workpiece geometries.
- the front upper spar (53) of the table frame (13) can be designed to be removable in order to make the processing table accessible even within the outer contour.
- the formation of the band saw machine in FIG. 2 as a linearly displaceable machine can of course be adapted to that of FIG. 1. Otherwise, all of the measures described in relation to FIG. 1 also apply to the exemplary embodiment according to FIG.
- Fig. 3 the trackball (36) shown in Fig. 2 in the installed state is shown enlarged.
- a larger ball (44) is mounted in a ball socket (47) with bearing balls (45) in a ball housing (43).
- the dimensions of the pin (46) are such that it can be screwed into the holes (35) in the perforated plate (14).
- the pin (46) as a threaded pin with z. B. formed a MIO thread.
- the ball housing (43) is designed as a one-piece rotating part with the pin (46).
- the large trackball (44) itself is also axially secured against falling out by means of a snap ring (51) which is arranged above the central plane (49).
- the ball housing (43) has radial incisions (51) above the central plane (49), which serve as drainage or cleaning channels, so that the spray water can flow out laterally therefrom.
- a through hole (50) is also provided from the lower bottom of the ball socket (47) through the ball socket itself and through the pin (46). This hole serves to drain water penetrating into the ball socket (47).
- a pin (55) is arranged, which in the next hole of the Perforated plate (14 ') snaps into place and secures the ball housing (43) against rotation when tightening the union nut via the pin (46).
- the radial incisions (52) in the housing (43) also serve to capture the snap ring (51) in order to remove it by spreading and to remove the ball (44) upwards.
- the pin (46) is preferably fixed by means of a wing screw, not shown.
- the through holes (35) of the perforated plate (14 ') are widened radially upwards.
- roller balls (36) are screwed into the desired locations on the perforated plate or perforated plate (14 ') as required.
- the workpiece then slides on the balls (44).
