Un appareil du type rotatif a impulsions est destine a la dispersion d'emulsions et/ou de suspensions et comprend un boitier (1), dont les parois forment une chambre de melange preliminaire (2) et une chambre de melange (4) communiquant entre elles par l'intermediaire d'un canal (5). La chambre (4) loge un rotor (6) et un stator (7) qui sont prevus pour creer une resistance variable au flux des emulsions et/ou suspensions pendant la rotation du rotor (6). La chambre de melange preliminaire (2) se presente sous la forme d'un diffuseur, s'elargissant dans la direction du canal (5).
