Abstract

The grill for roasting, warming up or making toasts working on charcoal, gas or electricity or another appropriate fuel is different from those used hitherto in that the liquids such as oil, grease, juice or marinade are collected and removed away from the heat source. For this purpose, under each support (10) on which the object to be grilled lies, collecting and evacuation elements (7) as well as canals (11) are arranged. Openings (12) for the passage of the heat are arranged between the collecting and evacuation elements and the canals which cover them so that the heat from the heat source located underneath may flow the object to be grilled. By slightly inclining the grill, the collected liquid may be recovered, through the canal (11) into a collecting container (8) located at a distance from the heat source (3).

Description

GRILLROST ZUM GRILLIEREN, BRATEN, TOASTEN UND ERWAERMENGRILL GRILL FOR GRILLING, FRYING, TOASTING AND HEATING
The present invention relates to a grillage for grilling, roasting, toasting and heating items to be cooked thereon over a heat source, which grillage has a plurality of supports for the items to be cooked which are arranged on at least approximately the same level and between which supports there are gaps. through which the heat radiated by the heat source can reach the food to be cooked.
The grill grates, which have so far been provided with or without a rack and are mostly used in barbecues and all kinds of chimneys and are commercially available, were used to hold grilled food for grilling, roasting, toasting and heating over a heat source, the latter mostly consisting of charcoal embers. The previous grill grates have the main advantages that the grilled food is not cooked in the melted fat and that the grilled food is surrounded by the charcoal scent, and that the grilled food can be provided with the popular branding originating from the hot grilling bars. The enormous disadvantage of these grill grates known to date is that the frying liquid such as fat, oil, juice and marinade drip onto the heat source located under the grill grate and burn there, causing Penzpyrenes, smoke, bad smells and flames are likely to be very harmful to health. Up to now it was hardly possible to grill meat products on charcoal or gas flames in a room without a special smoke vent.
The present invention has for its object to provide a grill with which the previous advantages are retained, but the disadvantages of the known grillages are overcome and new advantages are offered.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by a grillage of the type described at the outset, which is characterized in that liquid collecting and discharge parts and channels are arranged between the supports below their level in such a way that they cover the spaces in a vertical direction and overlap each other, heat passage openings being arranged between the overlaps above the deepest points of the liquid collecting and discharge channels, through which the heat radiated by the heat source can reach the food to be cooked.
In an advantageous embodiment variant, the grillage according to the invention has parallel supports and parallel undulating channels.
The invention is explained in detail in the following description using exemplary embodiments which are shown in the drawing.

The barbecue apparatus in FIG. 1 illustrated which an inclination positioning of the grill apparatus enabling verstell¬ tiltable front legs 1, the rear legs 2 of the container 3 for wood coal, gas flame, etc., and the Windschutzauf¬ are construction 4 with height adjustment devices 5 for the dashed smiles shown Grid grate 6 visible. Under the grate 6, a liquid collection and discharge part 7 is shown in dashed lines in an inclined position, the channel parts 9 of which, according to FIGS. 2 to 6 and 8, open into the collecting vessel 8 stored outside the heat source container 3.
Darunter erkennt man Flüssigkeitεauffang- und -ableitkanäle 11, die je nach Ausführungsvariante einteilig.mit den Flüssigkeits-2 to 6 and 8, the individual parts of the grillings according to the invention can be seen in different design variants. Nevertheless, functionally identical parts are provided with the same reference numbers. One recognizes in particular the supports 10 on which the cookware comes to rest, these supports 10 consisting of the upper arches or edges of the liquid collecting and discharging parts 7 and all lying in one plane. Below this one can see liquid collecting and discharge channels 11, which, depending on the design variant, are made in one piece.

Between the supports 10 from the heat source in the container 3 (FIG. 1), which covers the supports 10 in the vertical direction, cover and divert parts and channels 7 and 11 are above the lowest points of the channels 11, in each case through which they overlap ¬ donate parts 7 covered, heat passage openings 12 through which the radiated heat from the heat source in the container 3 can reach the food.
The parts 7 and channels 11 can be connected to one another by means of known, preferably U-shaped, lateral supports 13 (FIG. 7). It is advantageous if one of the carriers 13 is additionally designed as a collecting vessel 8 (FIG. 1) running along the grilling grate or is connected to such, in order to collect the liquid dripping from or from the cooking material into the channels 11. The other carrier 13 can be fitted with a device, e.g. foldable feet, are provided, by means of which the grillage according to the invention can be stored slightly obliquely in order to allow the liquid to be drained from the channels 11 into the collecting vessel.
The grillage according to the invention can, as is indicated in FIGS. 1, 2 and 8, either be placed on existing known grill grids 6 or be placed directly above the heat source by means of feet.
In order to facilitate cleaning of the grillage according to the invention, it can, as indicated in FIGS. 6a, 6b and 7, consist of two components which can be pushed into one another, of which e.g. which are shown in Fig.

Zusammengeschoben ergeben die beiden Komponenten funktionsmässig einen Grillrost wie wenn er einteilig wäre.OI 6b parts 7 and channels 11 shown by solid lines are connected to the one support 13 and with connecting elements 14 (FIG. 7) to form a component. The parts 7 and channels 11 shown by broken lines in FIG. 6b can likewise be connected on one side to a carrier 13 and on the other side by means of connecting elements 15 to form a second component. When pushed together, the two components functionally produce a grillage as if it were in one piece.
In a further embodiment, the grill according to the invention can be used as a disposable grill for single use, e.g. are formed in one piece from aluminum foil, as can be seen from FIG. 8. It is necessary to connect the overlapping part 7 and channels 11 by means of webs 16 in the openings 12.
The most important advantage of the grillage according to the invention, which is not limited to the embodiments described and illustrated here, is that any dripping of liquid from the cooked product into or onto the heat source is prevented. If the heat passage openings are large enough, even a food to be grilled on a rotisserie can be arranged above instead of on the side of the heat cell.
