DESIGN FOR HAT AND BONNET HOLDERS FOR TRUNK S.
Specification forming part of Design No. 9,658, dated November 28, 1876; application filed October 25, 1876.
' [Term of Patent 7 years] To all whom it may concern;
Be it known that I, JOSEPH HALL, of the city of Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented an Improved Design for a Hat and Bonnet Holder for Trunks, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, makingpart of this specification.
The nature of my invention is fully represented in the accompanying drawing, to which reference is made.
Figure 1 represents a top view of a bonnetholder for trunks made in accordance with my improved design. Fig. 2 is a vertical section of the same on the line a; a: in Fig. 1. Fig. 3 is a vertical section of the same on the line 3 y in Fig. 1.
The central part a of said holder, as Well as the general form of the entire holder, is concavo-convex. Said central part a. may either have a plain under and upper surface, or it may be ornamentedby the annular series of embossments b, c, and d, and a central boss, f, formed by the head of the rivet which attaches the supporting-arm of the bonnetholder.
The central portion, either plain or ornap merited, as described, is surrounded by a series of uniform radial corrugations, h, in the formation of which, by stamping, a uniformlyscalloped outer edge, It, is also produced.
What I claim as my invention is- 1. A design for a hat and bonnet holder for trunks, of a concavo-convex form, and ornamented with an annular series of radial corrugations, h, arranged around a central portion, a, substantially as described, and as represented in the accompanying drawing.
2 In a design for a hat and bonnet holder for trunks having a conca'vo-convex form, the combination of the annular series of ornamental embossinents Z), 0, and d, and the ornamental series of exterior radial corrugations h, having the scalloped edge is, substantially as described,and as represented in the accompanying drawing.
