DESIGN FOR SHUTTER-BAR.

The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making paxt or the same To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, JOHN TIEBOUT, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a. new and original Design for Shutter-Bar; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable those skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing formingr part of this specitication, in which drawing- Figure 1 shows my design in plan View.

Figure 2 is a longitudinal section.

My invention consists in the peculiar design of the shutter-bar and the ixed plates.

The fixed plates A A are ofthe shape shown in the drawing, placed parallel with each other.

The ends B B of the bar are circular, and of the same outline, except where the free end is cut away to form the hook, and said ends are surmounted by buttons, O O, circular in form, and of the same dimensions with each other. The diameters of the buttons C O are less than the diameters of the rounded ends of the bar.

By my new design, I give a symmetric-al appearance of the form shown to the shutter-bar at both ends.

I am aware that the shutter-bar, as an article of manufacture, is not new.
