DESIGN FOR A SOFA-PILLOW.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,972, dated July 1, 1902.

Be it known that I, ELIZABETH FIELD, a citizen of the United States, residing at Scotchplains, in the county of Union and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original ornamental Design for Sofa- Pillows; and I do hereby declare the followin; to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.

This invention relates to a novel ornamental design for a sofa-pillow or like artiole, the essential feature being flags at the four angles or corners of a quadrangularshaped field, crossed flags central of said field, and flags near the edges of the said field and intermediate of the corners.

The accompanying drawing illustrates the ornamental design, the field being defined by the border 1, which is rope or cord, said field being quadrangular and having trefoil loops or ornaments 2 at the corners. A group of flags is located within each of the four angles of the field bounded by the border 1, diverged lines spanning the angles and inclosing the groups of flags. Crossed flags appear at the center of the field, surrounded by a circle. Single flags are provided near the four edges and are inclosed by semicircles. The portion of the field between the center circle and the parts spaced on. by the semicircles and the diverged lines is studded with flags, the whole combining to produce an ornamental, striking, and pleasing eflfect.

Having thus described the invention, what is claimed as new is- The ornamental design for a sofa-pillow, substantially as herein shown and described.
