DESIGN FOR A HEATING-STOVE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,458, dated December 17, 1901.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, THOMAS I. RANKIN, a citizen of the United States, residing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for a Heating-Stove, of which the following is a specification.
My design for a heatingstove is clearly illustrated in the accompanying drawing, which.
represents the stove in perspective.
The essential feature of the design is the peculiar ornamentation of the body and base of the stove and the shape of the foot-rests.
I is the base of the stove, having legs z'. These legs are each ornamented with inverted-U scrolls of the form shown.
The ash-pit door i has a central rosette, on each side of which is an Ornamental scroll in keeping with the ornamentation of the base.
The body I of the stove is plain, and at each corner are columns 11 ornamented with a design in keeping with the design on the legs of Application filed August 21, 1901. Serial No. 72,853- Term of patent '7 years.
the stove. Projecting from the columns are U-shaped foot-rests 2' each ornamented in keeping with the prevailing ornamentation of the stove. On the front of the body portion is a name-plate 2' bordered by ornamental scrollwork.
The cap 1 is made up of three sections. The lower section is plain, and the central and upper sections are ornamented by scrollwork, as shown.
I claim- The design for a heating-stove as herein described and as illustrated in the accompanying drawing.
