UNITED STATES PATENT OFFIoE.
PETER M. KLING, OF ELIZABETH, NEW JERSEY, ASSIGNOR TO JOHN STEPHENSON COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A CAR-SEAT PANEL.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,325, dated April 2, 1901.
Application filed March 8, 1901- Serial No- 50p398| Term of patent 14-. years.
T0 and whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, PETER M. KLING, a citizen of the United States, residing at Elizabeth, in the county of Union and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and originalDesign for Oar-Seat Panels, of which the following is a specification.
The essential feature of my design resides in the configuration of the panel, substantially as shown in the accompanying drawings, wherein- Figure 1 is a front elevation of the panel: Fig. 2 a side elevation, Fig. 3 a plan view, and Fig. 4 a rear view, thereof. Fig. 5 is a section on the line A B, and Fig. 6 a section on the line C D, in Fig. l.
The panel 1 has a fiat bottom edge 2, inwardly or concavely curved sides 3, and ears 4 at the top extending outwardly and having their front faces 4 directed obliquely outward and rearward, the top of the panel being formed as a rounded or convexly-curved flange 5, continuous in front with the body of the panel and extending at the sides around the ears 4, so as to form pockets thereat. A notch 7is formed in said top flange centrally thereof, and ribs 8 are formed on the front of the panel. Lugs 9 extend rearwardly from the bottom edge 2, and lugs 10 extend rearwardly from the ears 4. A beading 11 extends along the edge of the panel at each side.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new,and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for acar-seat panel, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
PETER M. KLING.
