DESIGN FOR A BADGE.
SPECIFICATION fblmii'ig' part of Design N0. 32,648, dated May 15, 1900. Application filed April 20, 1900. Serial No. 13,669. Term of patent 3i years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOSEPH K. DAVISON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania,have invented and produced a new and original Design for Badges, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.
In the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification, I have shown my design in Figure l in front elevation and in Fig. 2 in longitudinal section.
The leading or material feature of my design, as shown in the drawings, consists of the ornamental bar a, executed in high relief and having as the central and dominant feature the image of a man in oriental costume and bearing a scepter and mounted upon the image of a came. In the background is a representation of a rising sun and to the onlookers right palm-trees and to his left pyramids. Aminiaturesimitarissuspendedfroni this bar, and a crescent upon which is a medallion keystone is hung from the simitar, and beneath and from the crescent depends a medallion representative of Washington.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-- The design for a badge, substantially as shown and described.
