Application iiletlNovember 18, 1899i 'Serial No. 737,523. Term of patent lllyears.
To LZZ whom, it Irl/ay concern.-
Be it known that I, WILLIAM S. HAMM, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, county of Cook, and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Washstands, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof, in which-L Figure l is a plan view of the washstand. Fig. 2 is a front elevation of the same, and Fig. 3 is a transverse sect-ion.
The slab or table A of the waslistand is substantially oblong rectangular in form and is provided with a bowl or basin of the usual contour. An oblong rectangular splash-rail B rises from the slab along one of its edges, from the front face of which projects a bracket or console, as shown at C. The upper face of the bracket or console is below the upper edge of the splash-rail, is centrally depressed, and is bounded lby lines springing from the face of the splash-rail and curving toward each other at their outer ends. The front face of the bracket or console is in the form of an ogee curve extending downwardly from the margin of the upper surface and vanishing at a point on the vertical median line of the bracket or console and at the surface of the splash-rail and near the surface of the slab A.
The essential feature of the design is the bracket or console C springing from the front face of the splash-rail, and is shown in solid lines, ,the remaining and less important features of the design being shown in dotted lines.
I claim as my invention-"- The design for a Washstand, as herein shown and described. I
