DESIGN FOR A wAsHsTAND.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 32,044, dated December 26, 1899.
Application led November 18, 1899. Serial No. 737,522. Term of patent 14 years.
To a/ZZ whom t may concern:
Beit known that I, 'WILLIAM S. HAMM, a .citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, county of Cook, and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Washstands, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof, in Which- Figure l is a plan view of the washstand. Fig. 2 is a front elevation of the same, and Fig. 3 is a transverse section.
The slab or table of the Washstand is shown at A and is substantially' oblong rectangular in form and is provided with a bowl of ordinary form, as shown. Along one edge of the slab is located a vertical splash-rail B, which has in its front face an enlargement or lateral extension of curved outline, as shown at C,
its front face being made up of two ogee curves springing from the front surface of the splashrail and curving outwardly and meeting at their outer ends. The upper surface of this extension is recessed or chambered.
The essential feature of the design is the forwardly-projecting chambered extension of the splash-rail having its front face curved, as shown, and this feature is shown in solid lines in the drawings, the other and less important features of the design being shown in dotted lines.
I claim as my invention- The design for a washstand, as herein shown and described.
