DESIGN FOR A BICYCLE HANDLE-BAR.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,971, dated June 6, 1899.

Application filed May 11, 1899. Serial No. 716,439- Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, CHARLES H. METZ, of \Valtham, in the county of Middlesex and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Bicycle Handle-Bars, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.

In the drawings, Figure 1 represents a front elevation of a bicycle handle-bar, illustrating my new design. Fig. 2 represents a plan view of the same.

The leading feature of my new design for bicycle handle-bars consists in the design as herein shown and described.

As shown in the drawings, the cylindrical post 5 represents the vertical center of the design. From the upper end of this post extend forwardly at downward inclinations the arms 6 6, straight as far as the points 7 7, from which points they extend in a series of compound curves 8 8 to meet the rearwardlyextending straight portions 9 9.
