DESIGN FOR A BICYCLE-FRAME.
To all whom, it may concern.-
Be it known that I, HAROLD JARVIS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Buffalo, n the county of Erie and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Bicycle-Frame, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
This design relates to the shape or configuration of bicycle-frames.
The accompanying drawing is a perspective view of a bicycle-frame embodying my design.
As shown in the drawing, the leading or material feature of my design consists of a triangular rear frame A, a seat or saddle post 13, arranged on the front side of the front member a of said frame, a steering-head C, an upper reach member D, extending rearwardly and downwardly from the upper portion' of the steering-head to the middle portion of the saddle-post B, a hanger-sleeve E, a lower front reach member F, extending downwardly and rearwardly from the lower portion of the steering-head to the hangersleeve E, and a lower rear reach member F, extending from the hanger sleeve to the lower front corner of the triangular rear frame A.
The rear members a a of the triangular frame are forked, as shown. The saddle-post B is substantially parallel with the member a and terminates below the upper end thereof.
g represents braces which connect the sad= dle-post with the adjacent member a.
h is an inclined brace extending from the central portion of the upper reach member D to the hanger-sleeve E, and i is a substantially vertical brace arranged between the inclined brace h and the saddle-post B and extending from the upper reach member to the lower rear reach member F.
j is a substantially upright handle bar sleeve mounted on the upper reach member between the steering-head and the inclined brace h.
What I claim is- The design for a bicycle-frame substantially as herein shown and described.
