To aZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, JAMES MARSDEN, a subject of the Queen of Great Britain and Ireland, and a resident of Wigan, in the county of Lancaster, England, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Pattern-Chart, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.
The drawing is a plan view of a patternchart, showing my new design.
As shown in the drawing, the leading or material feature of my design consists in a pattern-chart having represented thereon the novel arrangement of patterns for a mans lounge suit, as now described. At one end of the pattern-chart is shown the under side A of the trousers, having inlays a and marks a and a and scale a top side of the trousers 13 having marks I) and b joining part 0, trousers-pocket facing D, jacket-pocket flap E, breast-pocket facing F, inside collar Gr, fly
H, ticket-pocket flap I, vest-pocket welt J, breast-pocket welt K, and vest-facing and j acket-facing M and M. At the other end of the pattern-chart is shown the top side N of sleeve and bottom side N of sleeve, each having marks at, vest-bottom facing 0, jacketback P, having inlay p, jacket fore part Q, neck-piece R of vest, outside collar S, pocketfacing T, and vest fore part U.
Having thus described my invention, the following is what I claim as new therein and desire to secure by Letters Patent:
The design for a pattern-chart substantially as herein shown and described.
In witness whereof I have hereunto signed my name, this 12th day of May, 1898, in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
JAMES MARSDEN.
