DESIGN FOR A TYPE-WRITER CABINET.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,108, dated December 28, 1897.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, JAMES I3. HAMMOND, a citizen of the United States, residing at New York, county and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Type-Vriter Cabinet, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.

The annexed drawing shows a view in perspective of a type-writer cabinet embodying my design.

The object of my invention is to produce a new and original design for a type-writer cabinet; and the invention consists in the configuration and shape of the cabinet, substantially as illustrated in the drawing.

The design for the cabinet comprises the flat surface A with semicircular corners a, and the supports for the flat surface A, consisting of the ornamental legs B, which taper from near their tops toward their bottoms, the said tapering surface being longitudinally corru gated. Near the bottom of supports B and between them extends the horizontal member B, comprising straight rear and end portions and a curved front portion, as shown. Surmounting the [lat surface A, at its back, is the upright part C, having a depression D at about midway of its width and a fiat portion E of dimensions corresponding to the front of the depression D. At each side of the depression D are apartments F, having paneled surfaces, and above said apartments F and said depression D are the flat surfaces G H with the elevated ornamental border garound the surface G.

The design as a whole furnishes a highly artistic type-Writer cabinet.

The distinctive feature of the design is the flat surface A and its ornamental supports surmounted at its back by the part C, having in it the depression D and having also the fiat portion E.

I claim The design for a type-writer cabinet substantially as shown.
