DESIGN FOR A SPOON, 86C- SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,851, dated May 27, 1890.
Application filed April 16, 1890. Serial No. 348,232. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that 1, HENRY A. PISTORIUS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Newburyport, in the county of Essex and State of l\lassachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Spoons, Forks, and other Articles of Flat \Vare,of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this specification, and in which- Figure 1 represeutsa front view of a spoon having my new design applied, and Fig. 2 is a transverse section upon the line ac a: in Fig. 1.
My design consists in the shape and special ornamentation of the handle portion of a spoon, fork, or other article of flat ware, as hereinafter set forth.
Aindicates the handle, of tapering shape and of rounded form at its upper end, with beads or moldings running down its sides in front, the outer one a of which is of convex configuration in transverse section and the dle portion of the handle, is another ornament c c, in relief, consisting of two reverse clusters of curved clavate-like figures having their larger ends above and below, respectively. At the lower end of the front portion of the shank or handle is another ornament d, in relief, of scroll form, with curved clavate-like figures.
I claim The design for a spoon, fork, or other article of flatware herein shown and described,
consisting of the handle portion, as set forth.
