STATES PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A FOUNTAIN PEN John A. Snodgrass, Prescott, Ark.

Term of patent 14 years To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, John A. Snodgrass, a citizen of the United States, residing at Prescott, in the county of Nevada and State of Arkansas, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for Fountain Pens, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.

Figure 1 is a front elevational view showing my new design in fountain pens, with cap in writing position;

Figure 2 is a side elevation of the pen and cap shown in Figure 1, and

Figure 3 is a rear view of the pen with cap in carrying position.

My design for a fountain pen is characterized by the streamlined cigar shape of the same, both when in an open condition, as in Fig. 1, and when in a closed condition as in Fig. 3 with the line of demarkation of the lower end of the cap substantially equidistant from the two ends of the pen,

in combination with the specific ornamentation arranged on the cap and the barrel so as to harmonize with the entire pen body as seen most clearly in Fig. 1, all as illustrated on the drawing.
