UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE BALL POINT PEN SIMILAR ARTICLE Melven V. Nelson and Garfield L. Beckstrom, Chicago, Ill., assignors to Autopoint Company, Chicago, Ill., a corporation of Illinois To aZZ whom it may concern:

Be it known that we, Me1ven V. N elson and Garfield L. Beckstrom, citizens of the United States, residing at Chicago,- in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented a neW, original, and ornamental Design for Bal1 Point Pen or Similar Article, of which the foilowing is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.

In the drawing:

Figure 1 is a front elevational view of a bail point pen or similar article embodying Oui new design and with the cap coVering the writing end;

Fig. 2 is a side elevational view of the same with the cap separated and uncovering the writ ing end; and

Fig. 3 is a rear elevational view thereof and alranged for writing.

Our design for a bail point pen is characterized by the barrel and the cap being of substantially the same diameter and contoured so that when the same is in either an open position or a closed position the cap merges into the barre1 and gives an appearance of a continuous and unbroken outline, al1 essentiaily as illustrated.

We claim:

The ornamental design for a ba1i point pen or similar article, substantialiy as shown and described.
