SURGICAL APPLIANCE.
APPLICATION FILED DEC. 24, 1910. I I 997,067, Patented July 4, 1911.
aww/Moz \T W LANG- WWW WW 2% M JOHN W. LANG, OF PORTERSVILLE, CALIFORNIA.
SURGICAL APPLIANCE.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Application filed December 24, 1910.
Patented July 4, 1911.
Serial No. 599,080.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN W. LANG, a citizen of the United States, residing at Portersville, in the county of Tulare and State of California, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Surgical Appliances, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawing.
This invention relates to appliances adapted to prevent nocturnal emissions, and the principal object of the same is to provide a simple device to be used by the masculine seX and applied to the seXual organ so that in the event of an enlargement of said organ the wearer will awaken so that proper steps can be taken to prevent an emission.
In carrying out the objects of the invention generally stated above it will be understood, of course, that the essential features thereof are necessarily susceptible of changes in details and structural arrangements, one preferred and practical embodiment of which is shown in the accompanying drawings, wherein Figure 1 is a perspective view of the improved appliance viewed from one side thereof. Fig. 2 is a similar front view.
Referring to the accompanying drawings by numerals, it will be seen that the improved appliance is formed of a waist-encircling belt 1 having a buckle 2 at one end and a row of openings 3 at the other end so that the belt can be readily adjusted. At the front, the belt 1 has one end of a flat strap 1 stitched or otherwise rigidly fastened thereto. Said strap also has an intermediate portion stitched or otherwise fastened to the belt 1 over said fastened end so that a pendent supporting loop 5 is provided for the testicles. The free portion 6 of the strap projects beyond the portions that are fastened to the belt and at a point intermediate of the outer end thereof, is equipped with the ball member 7 of a detachable fastener.-
Adjacent the outer end portion, said strap is provided with regularly spaced socket members 8 for detachable engagement with the ball member 7 to form an adjustable penis-encircling band 9.
In use, it will be seen that in the event of an enlargement of the sexual organ, the same will be compressed by the band 9 so that the wearer will be awakened in time to take the necessary steps to prevent emission.
It will be clear from the foregoing that the appliance being formed of but two parts, the belt 1 and strap 1, the same can be economically manufactured. It will also be understood that the strap is formed of material that will not injure the wearer, and that the type of detachable fasteners for the band 9 are but one of the many that may be used.
What I claim as my invention is 1. An appliance of the character stated comprising an adjustable waist-encircling belt, a strap having one end and an intermediate portion fastened thereto to provide a pendent supporting loop, and complemental fastening means carried by the free end portion of said strap to permit the same to be formed into an adjustable encircling band.
2. An appliance of the character stated comprising an adjust-able belt, a strap hav ing one end and an intermediate portion rigidly fastened to the front of said belt to provide a pendent loop, the free portion of said strap projecting beyond said loop, and complemental fastening means carried by the free end of said straps and at points adjacent said free end to permit the free portion of said strap to be formed into an adjustable supporting loop.
In testimony whereof I hereunto aflix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
JOHN W. LANG.
