To'all whom 'it may concern:

Be 1t known that I, Josnrii Haes, a citizen of the United States, residing in New York, borough of Brooklyn, county of Kings, andments-in combination furniture, and has for its object toprovide an article of furniture of a simple andcomparatively inexpensive nature, `and of a strong and substantial construction in, the form of a chair, having certain' features of novelty and improvement rendering it readily convertible for other purposes/such for" example, as an ironing i board or table, or asa step-ladder.

The invention consists in certain novel fea tures of the construction, and combinations and arrangements of theseveral .parts of the improved 4combination chair, whereby certain important advantages areattained, and vthe device is rendered simpler, less expensive, stronger, more compact, and otherwisebetter adapted and more convenient foruse,

all as will be hereinafter fully set forth.
