Be it known that I, PALMER SPALDING, ofthe city of Chicago, in the county `of'` Cook, and State of Illinoie, have invented a new and improved Pinch-Bar or l lever, in combination with fulcrum; andl do hereby declare that the following is` a full and exact descrip- ',tionof the construction and'operation of the same,

The operation and utility of the bar, as improved by l me, are exemplified when applied to the moving of railroadoars upon their track, the notches biting the track and furnishing the point on which the lever turns, and
the face ofthe bar operating against the wheel.- 1mrnense. power, with my pinch-bar, by one man, may thus be exerted.
