The schedule vreferred vto in these Letters Patent` and making part of the samae it lmown that I, DAVID SANDERS, of the city and county of Milwaukee, and State of Wisconsin, have iuvented a new and. useful Improvement iu Damprs;

and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable those skilled in. the art to make and use' the same, kreference being had to the accompanying drawing, forniing part of this Specification, iu which- Figure l is a flat View of my'iuvelitiou.

The object of my invention is to provide an adjustable damper, andpne that the soot Will be cleaned from B, adjustable leaves.

Operation. Put the damper in the stove-pipe, the same as any Then adjust the side leaves, so as to. let any amount of smoke pass through it, by leaving the leaves open more or less, according to the draught of the chimney.

When op'en just right, set up the screws E, which will hold the leaves rmly in place.

AS the damperis closed or opened7 the ball will roll from side to side, and clean out the soot that will accumulate.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
