llhis invention relates to separable fasteners.

'vlhe objects ot' the invention are to improve, strengthen, and simplify the construction ot' such devices and to increase their eliiciency in use.

jW ith these objects in view the invention resides in the particular combination and ar- .rangement of parts and in the precise details el construction hereinafter described, with relerence to the accompanying drawings, forming part ol this speeilieation, whereinm liligure l is a long'itudinal section. In the lorm et invention illustrated and described the member l, with its side llangcs, ratchet-teeth, and attaching' ear or lug, may be cast in one piece el any suitable metal. lhe member 2 likewise may be cast in a singie piece, il desired.

The device et the invention is strong, durable, simple, orl'iamental, and inexpensive in construction, as well as thoroughly practical and satisfactory in operation. In its particular combination and zirraligement olI parts and in the precise details ol.f construction it presents an improvement over prior devices olf a similar character.

Minor changes in construction maybe made within the scope ol? the ilollowing claim without departing from the spirit oi the invention.
