Be it known that I, ARTHUR RHOADS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Ooylc, in the county of Logan and Territory of Oklahoma, have invented a new and useful Display- Rack, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to display-racks such as are employed for the exhibition of hosiery and the like.

The objects of the invention are to improve and simplify the construction of such racks and to render them less expensive to manufacture.

Vith these objects in view the invention resides in the particular combination of parts and in the precise details of construction hereinafter described, claimed, and illustrated in the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification.

Referring to the drawings, Figure 1 is a side elevation of the improved display-rack. Fig. 2 is a detail perspective of one of the rings. Fig. 3 is a detail perspective of the ticket-holder.

The display-rack comprises a supportingbar 1, to which are attached ticket-holders 2 2 2, each holder preferably comprising two flat plates, which are clamped closely together and to the supporting-bar by means of bolts or rivets 3 3. The ticket-holders are intended to receive tickets or labels stating the price, name, and quality of the goods on display. Passing loosely through a perforation in the supporting-bar 1 is a shank or hanger 4, which is formed by welding or binding together the wires 5 5 5, the latter forming supportingarms for a display ring or frame 7. Upon the upper end of the shank or hanger 4 is screwed or attached in any other suitable manner a nut 6,-which rests upon the upper surface of the supporting-bar and prevents the shank from being pulled therethrough, at the same time permitting said shank to revolve freely in the supporting-bar. The lower ends of the wires or arms 5 5 5 are bolted to the ring or frame 7, which is provided with internal cross-pieces or braces 8 9, having slots at their center, so that they interlock closely and permit each other to pass.

Attached to the ring 7 and to the crosspieces 8 9 are brackets 10, which are bent at their lower ends, as shown at 11. For clearness of illustration the brackets 10 are shown in the drawings as attached only to crosspiece 9; but it is of course understood that said brackets 10 are attached to both crosspieces and to the ring when the device -is in use. Pivotally connected to the bent portions 11 of the brackets 10 are the bent upper portions 12 of clasps 13, the jaws 14 of which are smooth, as shown, to prevent the abrasion of the stocking or other article clamped therebetween when it is pulled down by a salesman. a

It will be understood that any number of rings 7 may be suspended from the supportingbar 1, one of the ticket-holders 2 being located adjacent to each ring upon said bar.

The method of using the improved device will be apparent. The stockings or other articles to be exhibited are held by the clasps 13 and are pulled down by the salesman as desired without disturbing the other articles or lowering the supporting-bar. By reason of the fact that each clasp is pivotally mounted upon its supporting-brackets the hosiery can be turned with its edges out, thereby enabling a large quantity of hosiery to be suspended from a single ring.

The device of the invention is strong, durable, simple, and inexpensive in construction. In its precise details of construction and particular arrangement of parts it presents an improvement over the prior art.

I claim-- 1. A display-rack comprising a bar, a ticketholder secured thereto, a hanger swiveled in the bar and provided with a plurality of depending supporting-arms, a display-frame secured to the supporting-arms, braces extending transversely across said frame, and suspension devices carried by the frame.
