hereby declarethe following to be a full, clear,

and exact description thereof.

My invention relates to an improvement in articles of glassware; and it consists in forming a hinge between the body and cover or lid by a lug or lugs formed on the body and lid integral therewith, and a pintle formed of any suitable material passing through holes or cavities in said lugs.

I will now describe my invention, so that others skilled in the art may employ the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification, in which- Figure 1 is a perspective view of a glass case provided with my improved hinge, and Fig. 2 is a detached view of one of the lugs.

Like letters of reference indicate like parts wherever they occur.

In the drawings, a represents the body of a glass box or case, and b a lid or cover formed of a like material.

On the rear side of the box a, at the upper edge thereof, are formed four lugs or ears, 0 0, having a central cavity, d, passing through the same.

On the lower edge of the rear side of the lid Z) are formed two similar ears or lugs, 6, having central cavities, or openings, f. These lugs e on the cover fit between the lugs c c on the body of the case a, and are secured by rivets or pintles f.

The box and lid and the lugs thereon are formed or pressed in a suitable mold by which the lugs are formed integral with the box and lid.
