The principal'obj ectof this invention is to provide an improved shampoolboard. which is particularly adaptable for use with. a washbasinregardless of the size or shape. of. the washbasin, which may be. readily and securely mountedon the Washbasin to be steady during the shampoo operation, and which may: be readily detached from the washbasin and compactly folded for storage purposeswhennot in use. The shampoo board of thisinvention, whileadaptedfor useby professionals inv beauty parlors, is particularly adapted for home use, especially for. the. purpose of shampooing childrenshair;

In-earrying out this object oftheinventiomthe. shampoo board includes a troughhaving a neckreceiving portion, a bracket adjacent. the. lower end of the trough, andprovided-wlthsuction cup toengage the bowl, portionotthe,washbasin, and a bracketadjacent theneck-receiving portionof. the trough to engage the exterior-portion ofthe washbasin. Thesuction cups readily andsecurely mount the shampoo-board in, the washbasin, and the bracket engaging; the exterior portionof the washbasin, prevents the shampoo board from;

The brackets are. preferably pivotally mounted on the trough so thatthey may befol'dedt against the trough for storage purposes. The bracket adjacent the neck-receiving portion of the trough is adjustable: to adaptv the shampoo board to various sizes and shapes of washbasins and to regulate the tilt of the shampoo board.

Because the shampoo board is readily adaptable to different sizes and types of washbasins, is readily adjustable as to tilt, is readily mounted and removed, and is readily stored away when not in use, it is particu larly adaptable for home use and especially in the shampooing of children's hair.

While for purposes of illustration one form of this invention has been disclosed, other forms thereof may become apparent to'those skilled in the art upon reference to this disclosure, and, therefore, this invention is to be limited only by the scope of the appended claims and prior art.

I claim as my invention: 1. A shampoo board for use with a washbasin,

comprising a dished trough adapted to overlie the exterior portion of the washbasin and open at its lower end and having a neck-receiving portion adjacent its upper end, a bracket adjacent the lower end of the trough and provided with suction cups to engage the bowl portion of the Washbasin to mount the shampoo board on the washbasin, and a bracket adjacent the neck-receiving portion of the trough to engage the exteriorportion of the washbasin.

A shampoo board for use with a washbasin, comprising a dished trough adapted to overlie the exterior portion of the washbasin and open at its lower end and having-a neck-receiving portion adjacent its upper end, a bracket pivoted on the trough adjacent the lower end thereof, and provided with suction cups to engage the bowl portion of the washbasin to mount the shampoo board on the washbasin, and a bracket pivoted on the trough adjacent the neck-receiving portion thereof to engage the exterior portion of the washbasin.

A shampoo board for use with a washbasin, comprising a dished trough adapted to overlie the exterior portion of the washbasin and open at its lower end and having a neck-receiving portion adjacent its upper end, a bracket adjacent the lower end of the trough and provided with suction cup-s to engage the bowl portion of the washbasin to mount the shampoo board on the washbasin, a bracket pivoted on the trough adjacent the neck-receiving portion thereof to be folded against the trough or extended underneath the trough to engage the exterior portion of the washbasin.

A shampoo board for use with a washbasin, comprising a dished trough adapted to overlie the exterior portion of the washbasin and open at its lower end and having a neck-receiving portion adjacent its upper end, a bracket adjacent the lower end of the trough and provided with suction cups to engage the bowl portions of the washbasin to mount the shampoo board on the washbasin; a bracket pivoted on the trough adjacent the neck-receiving portion thereof to be folded against the trough or extended underneath the trough to engage the exterior portion of the washbasin, and a clamp for clamping the lastrnentioned bracket in various pivoted positions.

A shampoo board for use with a washbasin. comprising a dished trough adapted. to overlie the exterior portion of the washbasin and open at its lower end and having a neck-receiving portion adjacent its upper .end, a bracket pivoted on the lower end of the trough to .be folded against the trough or extended underneath the trough, suction cups .carried by the bracket toengage the bowl portion of the washbasin when the bracket is extended to mount the shampoo board on the washbasin, and a bracket pivoted on the trough adjacent the neck-receiving portion thereof to be folded against the trough or extended underneath the trough to engage the exterior portion of the washbasin. A shampoo-board for use with a washbasin, comprising a dished trough adapted to overlie the exterior portion of the washbasin and open at its lower end and having a neck-receiving portion adjacent its upper end, a bracket pivoted on the lower end of the trough to be folded against the trough or extended underneath the trough, suction cups carried by the bracket to engage the bowl portion of the washbasin when the bracket is extended to mount the shampoo board on the 'washb-asin, a bracket pivoted on the trough adjacent the neck-receiving portion thereof to be folded against the trough or extended underneath the trough to engage the exterior portion of the washbasin, and a c1amp for clamping the lastmentioned bracket in various pivoted positions. 9. A shampoo board for use with a washbasin, comprising a dished. trough adapted to overlie the exterior portion of the washbasin and open at its lower end and having a neck-receiving portion adjacent its upper end, a bracket pivoted on the lower end of the trough to be folded against the trough or extended underneath the trough, suction cups carried by the bracket to engage the bowl portion of the washbasin when the bracket is extended to mount the shampoo board on the washbasin, a depression in the trough adjacent the neck-receiving portion thereof and having a hole therethrough, a bracket having a sleeve portion located in the depression and provided with a slot registering with the hole, a bar received in the sleeve portion of the bracket and having a tapped hole registering with the hole and. slot, and a screw extending through the hole and slot into the tapped hole for pivotally mounting the bracket on the trough to be folded against the trough or extended underneath the trough to engage the exterior portion of the washbasin and for clamping the bracket in various pivoted positions. A shampoo board for use with a washbasin, comprising a dished trough adapted to overlie the exterior portion of the washb-asin and open at its lower end and having a neck-receiving portion adjacent its upper end, means adjacent the lower end of the trough for engaging the bowl portion of the washbasin, and a bracket pivoted on the trough adjacent the neck-receiving portion thereof to be folded against the trough or extended underneath the trough to engage the exterior portion of the Washbasin to retain the shampoo board on the washbasin,
