It is to be understood, however, that variations in the showing made by the said drawing and description may be adopted within the scope of the invention as set forth in the claims.
Referring to said drawing:
Figure 1 is a side elevation of the unit of my invention showing the same secured in position and with the supported article operatively positioned thereon.
Figure 2 is a plan view of the device as shown in Figure 1.

The means for securing the device in position comprises a plurality of bracket members here shown as substantially separate of each other and in the form of arms I6 and I1. Both arms extend vertically upwardly from the bottom wall of the receptacle and are preferably welded thereto, the arm l6 being extended further upwardly than the arm I! and formed with a horizontally extending portion l8 which overlies a corresponding portion [9 of the, lower arm I7. At the free end of the arm I 6 is provided a downwardly extending portion 2| which serves as a hook with which such arm may be attached to an eye-screw 22 or the like provided in the wall or other object to which the device is to be attached. The arm I!) has extended therefrom a leg 23 which projects downwardly and outwardly and terminates in a loop or toe 24 whose plane is vertical so that the entire side of the loop may engage the surface of the wall or other object to which the device is secured. As will be clear from Figures 2 and 3, equal portions of the loop extend on opposite sides of th leg 23, and the latter is vertically aligned with the hook 2|, so that the loop portions also lie at opposite sides of the hook. In this way when the arm I6 is secured in position the loop portion will en age the wall below the hook but at equal distances from the opposite sides thereof. Since the loop is relatively wide, the latter will cooperate with the hook to hold and maintain the device in steady position and at a proper distance from the wall, it being noted in this connection that the loop 24 is disposed further outward than the hook 2| in a horizontal direction. It will be evident that with the device arranged to be secured in position simply by engaging the hook 2| with the eye 22 and then allowing the loop to engage the wall surface to properly position the device thereon, a simple and effective attaching arrangement is provided for. At the same time it should be noted that only a single receptacle is required and that such receptacle need be of relatively small size. Attention may also be called to the fact thatthe portions of the arms I6 and I! extending vertically directly from the receptacle are in engagement with each other, and since the inter-engaging portions of the arms will press against one another whenthe device is hung in position and a. load is applied to the nest, the forces exerted by the arms will be neutralized insofar as their connection with'the receptacle is concerned and thus little or no strain will be set up in these parts.
In Figure 5 I have shown a somewhat modified form of the invention. In this embodiment a separate well or receptacle 6 is provided for each of the attaching or positioning arms l6 and 11 respectively. The hook portion 2| and the loop 24' are in substantially the same relationship as are the corresponding parts in the first described embodiment. The receptacles. are preferably arranged in vertical alignment and are secured together by means of a strap 30 which extends from the side wall of the lower receptacle and is also secured to and serves to support the nest supporting ring l3'.
I claim:
1. In a device of the character described,a receptacle for liquid insecticide or the like, a plurality of supporting members extending from within said receptacle in spaced relation to the sides thereof and providing above and below said receptacle hook and spacer portions respectively, and an article supporting member extending from an exterior side of said receptacle.
2. In a device of the character described, a receptacle for liquid insecticide or the like, a pair of arms extending upwardly from the bottom of said receptacle in spaced relation to the sides, one of said arms extending above the other and thence transversely and with a hook connecting portion at the free end, the other of the arms having a transverse portion below the transverse portion of the first arm and an angular portion designed to provide a wall resting point at opposite sides of and below said hook connecting portion, an article supporting device comprising an arm extending from a side of said receptacle in spaced relation to said first arms, a ring extending transversely from said last arm in opposed direction to said first arms, and a container removably supported in said ring.
3. In a device of the character described, insecticide-liquid holding means, arms extending from the liquid containing portions of said means for the support thereof, one of said arms being above the other and having a hook connecting portion, the other of said arms having wall hearing portions below and at each of the opposite sides of said connecting portion, and an article carrying arm fixed to a side wall of said means in spaced relation to said first arms.
4. In a device of the character described, an article carrying member, insecticide-liquid holding means comprising a pair of receptacles, a member connected to the sides of said receptacles with the latter positioned one above the other and being secured to and supporting said first member, an arm extending from within the upper of said receptacles and having a hook connecting portion, and an arm extending from within the lower of said receptacles having bearing portions below and at opposite sides of said connecting portion.
5. In a device of the character described, the combination with a receptacle for liquid insecticide or the like, of means extending upwardly and laterally from the interior of the receptacle for attaching same to a supporting element, and a container supporting ring secured to the side wall of said receptacle and extending laterally of said receptacle oppositely of said attaching means.
