SPECIFICATION formingpart of Letters Patent No. 226,087, dated March 3Q, 1880.
Application filed January 21, 1880.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, GEORGE W LINDSEY, of Baltimore city, State of Maryland, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Hat- Holders for Opera Seats, 850.; and I hereby declare the same to be fully, clearly, and exactly described as follows, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a perspective view of a partof a row of operaseats having the racks attached. Fig. is a side elevation of the device detached from the seat.
The object of my invention is to furnish a convenient rack or holder for supporting a hat or umbrella, or both, so constructed as to be readily attached to the ordinary seat, and adapted to swing out of the way against the bark of the seat as persons pass between the rows.
