A presser-foot for sewing machines, comprising a supporting shank, a block carried by said shank, a pair of forwardly extending legmembers pivotally attached to said block at the rearward end thereof for relative movement of said leg-members about a substantially horizontal axis, foot-plates pivotally attached to and carried by the forward ends of the respective legmembers, an equalizing-lever in operative engagement with said leg-members and fulcrumed between its ends upon the front end of said block for rocking movements about a substantially horizontal axis transverse to --the pivotal axis of said leg-members, and means limiting downward movement of the forward ends of said leg-members.

A presser-foot for sewing machines, comprising a shank-body formed with substantially parallel guide-slots, leg-members slidingly disposed in said guide-slots and pivotally attached to said body at the rearward end thereof, footplates carried by the forward ends of the respective leg-members, an equalizing-lever fulcrumed between its ends upon said body in overlying engagement with said leg-members, and yielding means for holding said-leg-members in engagement with said equalizing-lever.

A presser-foot for sewing machines, comprising a shank-body formed with substantially parallel guide-slots, leg-members slidingly disposed in said guide-slots to extend forwardly from said body and having a coaxial pivotal support upon said body, foot-plates pivotally carried by the respective leg-members, an equalizinglever fulcrumed between its ends upon said body and having its arms in operative engagement with said leg-members, springs housed within said body and bearing upon said leg-members to hold the forward portions of said leg-members in engagement with said equalizing-lever, and means limiting movements of said leg-members in opposite directions.
7; A presser-foot for sewing machines, comprising a shank-body formed lengthwise thereof with substantially vertical and downwardly open guide-slots leg-members slidingly disposed in said guide-slots to extend forwardly from said body and having a coaxial pivotal support at the rearward end of said body, stops carried by the respective leg-members for engagement with said body and thereby to limit downward movement of the forward ends of the respective leg-members, an equalizing-lever fulcrumed between its ends upon the front end of said body and having its arms in overlying engagement with said legmembers, and springs bearing upon said legmembers to hold said leg-members in engagement with said equalizing lever.

A presser-foot for sewing machines, comprising a shank-body, a'pair of forwardly extending leg-members pivotally attached to said body at the rearward end thereof for relative movement of said leg-members about a substantially horizontal axis, foot-plates pivotally carried by the forward ends of said leg-members, and a legmember equalizing-lever disposed forwardly 'of' the front face of said shank-body and fulcrumed between its ends upon said body for rocking movements about a substantially horizontal axis transverse to the pivotal axis of said leg-members.
