Abstract
Description
- This application claims priority to Taiwan Application Serial Number 105106447, filed on Mar. 3, 2016, which is incorporated by reference herein in its entirety.
- Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a structure and a method for installing toilet piping, and more particularly, to a structure and a method for installing toilet piping which allow the residents to choose their desired locations for installing toilets.
- Prior Art
- The toilet has become a popular sanitary ware and widely used since its invention. In recent years, the toilet has been equipped with a number of additional functions, such as warm-water cleaning and seat heating, to optimize the user experience.

FIG. 7 is a schematic view showing a conventional structure for installing toilet piping. Despite advanced manufacturing techniques and functions of toilets, the limitation that aconventional toilet 100 must be installed on afloor 101 of a building remains unchanged. Theconventional toilet 100 is typically made of a ceramic material, and using concrete, which is made by mixing cement and sand with water, as an adhesive to install the ceramic toilet bowl on theconcrete floor 101 is a conventional method. Traditionally, a layer of concrete has to be paved on a predetermined location before theconventional toilet 100 is installed. Next, a bottom of theconventional toilet 100 and adischarge pipe 102 are aligned, and then a construction worker trowels the extra concrete off the bottom of thetoilet 100 and smoothes the concrete surface so that theconventional toilet 100 looks like being directly adhered to thefloor 101. - After the
conventional toilet 100 has been installed on thefloor 101, the movement of theconventional toilet 100 to another location requires laborious work, which involves breaking the area of thefloor 101 where theconventional toilet 100 was originally installed and pre-installing adischarge pipe 102 at the location where theconventional toilet 100 is to be installed. Afterwards, repairs must be done to the damaged area. - The conventional construction method involves reserving an
accommodation space 111 in astructural post 110 to house adischarge pipe 112, and thedischarge pipe 102 has one end connected to the bottom of theconventional toilet 100 and the other end connected to thedischarge pipe 112 so that the waste to be discharged by theconventional toilet 100 is transmitted to thedischarge pipe 112 via thedischarge pipe 102 and then drained out. Such a conventional construction method has some disadvantages and inconvenience. For example, when thedischarge pipe 112 is damaged or worn out, the maintenance and replacement of thedischarge pipe 112 is difficult because it is disposed inside thestructural post 110. Furthermore, theconventional toilet 100 has to be installed in a stationary location, thus it is unable to install theconventional toilet 100 in various locations according to the residents' needs. - Therefore, a need exists in the art for a structure and a method for installing toilet piping that allow the residents to choose their desired locations for installing toilets.
- An object of the present invention is to provide a structure for installing toilet piping in which a toilet is disposed on and removable with a detachable floor panel within a predetermined area rather than being fixed in a stationary location. The present invention further provides a method for installing toilet piping.
- To achieve the aforementioned object of the present invention, there is provided a structure for installing toilet piping, comprising: a structural post with a plurality of beams extending outwards therefrom defining a first accommodation space at a periphery thereof, the first accommodation space being provided with a first discharge pipe; at least one detachable floor panel defining a second accommodation space therebeneath, the second accommodation space communicating with the first accommodation space; at least one toilet disposed on the at least one detachable floor panel; and a second discharge pipe having one end connected to the at least one toilet and the other end connected to the first discharge pipe and disposed in the second accommodation space.
- Preferably, the structure for installing toilet piping further comprises at least one board in parallel with the structural post. The at least one board defines the first accommodation space together with the structural post and is positioned beneath the plurality of beams.
- Preferably, the second accommodation space beneath the at least one detachable floor panel is provided with a plurality of light steel rods configured to support the floor and the at least one detachable floor panel of a building.
- Preferably, one end of the second discharge pipe passes through the at least one detachable floor panel to connect with the at least one toilet.
- Preferably, the first accommodation space is provided with a plurality pipes including a water pipe and a circuit pipe.
- To achieve the aforementioned object of the present invention, there is provided a method for installing toilet piping, comprising the steps of: causing a plurality of beams to extend outwards from a structural post, wherein the structural post defines a first accommodation space at a periphery thereof and a first discharge pipe is disposed in the first accommodation space; causing at least one detachable floor panel to define a second accommodation space therebeneath and causing the second accommodation space to communicate with the first accommodation space; disposing at least one toilet on the at least one detachable floor panel; and disposing a second discharge pipe in the second accommodation space so that the two ends of the second discharge pipe respectively connect with the at least one toilet and the first discharge pipe.
- Preferably, the method for installing toilet piping further comprises the step of disposing at least one board parallel to the structural post, wherein the at least one board defines the first accommodation space together with the structural post and is positioned beneath the plurality of beams.
- Preferably, the method for installing toilet piping further comprises the step of disposing a plurality of light steel rods in the second accommodation space beneath the at least one detachable floor panel so as to support the floor and the at least one detachable floor panel of a building to connect to the at least one toilet.
- Preferably, the method for installing toilet piping further comprises the step of causing one end of the second discharge pipe to pass through the at least one detachable floor panel to connect with the at least one toilet.
- Preferably, the method for installing toilet piping further comprises the step of disposing a plurality of pipes in the first accommodation space, wherein the plurality of pipes include a water pipe and a circuit pipe.

Hence, it is to be understood that the following description is construed as a broad disclosure to a skilled person in the art, and the present invention is not limited thereto.

FIGS. 1 and 2 are schematic views showing a structure for installing toilet piping in accordance with a first embodiment of the present invention, andFIG. 3 is an enlarged partial view showing the upper left corner ofFIG. 2 . According to the first embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a structure for installingtoilet piping 1, comprising: astructural post 2 with aplurality beams 21 extending outwards therefrom and in the form of a crucifix, fourboards 3 perpendicular with respect to each other being disposed at a periphery of and in parallel with thestructural post 2 and definingfirst accommodation spaces 4 together with thestructural post 2; a plurality ofdetachable floor panels 5 definingsecond accommodation spaces 6 therebeneath, thesecond accommodation spaces 6 communicating with thefirst accommodation spaces 4; a plurality oftoilets 7 disposed on the plurality ofdetachable floor panels 5; and asecond discharge pipe 8 disposed in a corresponding one of thesecond accommodation spaces 6. Specifically, the fourboards 3 are positioned beneath the plurality ofbeams 21. InFIG. 1 , each of the fourfirst accommodation spaces 4 is provided with afirst discharge pipe 41, which is preferably a circular pipe. Specifically, thesecond discharge pipe 8 has one end connected to the bottom of one of the plurality oftoilets 7 and the other end connected to thefirst discharge pipe 41, and is configured to transmit and discharge waste. - Preferably, the
second accommodation space 6 beneath one of the plurality ofdetachable floor panels 5 is provided with a plurality oflight steel rods 51 configured to support afloor 9 and the correspondingdetachable floor panel 5 of a building so that the correspondingdetachable floor panel 5 can support heavier loads. It is worth mentioning that one end of thesecond discharge pipe 8 passes through the correspondingdetachable floor panel 5 to communicate with the bottom of thecorresponding toilet 7, thereby the waste to be drained by thecorresponding toilet 7 can be transmitted to thefirst discharge pipe 41 via the second discharge pipe 8 (in a direction indicated by arrows, as shown inFIG. 3 ). As shown inFIG. 1 , the plurality oftoilets 7 can be disposed in any directions with respect to thestructural post 2. InFIG. 2 , the plurality oftoilets 7 can be disposed in different floors and arranged at different distances from thestructural post 2 according to the residents' needs. Thedetachable floor panel 5 is removable and detachable so that thesecond discharge pipe 8 can be embedded in thesecond accommodation space 6 and extend through the correspondingdetachable floor panel 5, the plurality oflight steel rods 51 and thefloor 9. -
FIG. 4 is a schematic view showing a structure for installing toilet piping in accordance with a second embodiment of the present invention. The second embodiment illustrated inFIG. 4 is different from the first embodiment illustrated inFIG. 1 in that (1) the plurality ofbeams 21 form a rightwardly turned T-shape (a verticalright beam 21 and a horizontalleft beam 21, as shown inFIG. 4 ), and threeboards 3 perpendicular with respect to each other are disposed at a periphery of and in parallel with thestructural post 2 and definefirst accommodation spaces 4 together with thestructural post 2, and that (2) in addition to afirst discharge pipe 41, each of the twofirst accommodation spaces 4 inFIG. 4 is provided with a plurality of pipes that may include awater pipe 32, acircuit pipe 33, etc. according to the residents' needs. - It is worth mentioning that the rightwardly turned T-shape formed of the
beams 21 of the second embodiment is merely an example, and that thebeams 21 can form a T-shape (a horizontalupper beam 21 and a vertical lower beam 21), a leftwardly turned T-shape (a verticalleft beam 21 and a horizontal right beam 21) or an inverted T-shape (a verticalupper beam 21 and a horizontal lower beam 21). -
FIG. 5 is a schematic view showing a structure for installing toilet piping in accordance with a third embodiment of the present invention. The third embodiment illustrated inFIG. 5 is different from the first embodiment illustrated inFIG. 1 in that (1) twobeams 21 of the third embodiment form an inwardly turned inverted L-shape (a horizontalleft beam 21 and a verticalright beam 21, as shown inFIG. 5 ), and twoboards 3 perpendicular with respect to each other are disposed at a periphery of and in parallel with thestructural post 2 and define afirst accommodation space 4 together with thestructural post 2, and that (2) in addition to thefirst discharge pipe 41, thefirst accommodation space 4 is further provided with a plurality of pipes that may include awater pipe 32, acircuit pipe 33, and etc. according to the residents' needs. - It is worth mentioning that the inwardly turned inverted L-shape formed of the
beams 21 of the third embodiment is merely an example, and that thebeams 21 can form an inverted L-shape (a verticalleft beam 21 and a horizontal right beam 21), an inwardly turned L-shape (a horizontalleft beam 21 and a vertical right beam 21) and an L-shape (a verticalleft beam 21 and a horizontal right beam 21). -
FIG. 6 is a flowchart showing a method for installing toilet piping of the present invention. According to the present invention, there is provided a method for installing toilet piping comprising the step of causing a plurality ofbeams 21 to extend outwards from astructural post 2, wherein thestructural post 2 defines afirst accommodation space 4 at a periphery thereof, afirst discharge pipe 41 is disposed in thefirst accommodation space 4, a plurality ofboards 3 perpendicular with respect to each other are disposed at the periphery of and in parallel with thestructural post 2 and define thefirst accommodation space 4 together with thestructural post 2. Specifically, the plurality ofboards 3 are disposed beneath the plurality ofbeams 21. It is worth mentioning that there number of theboards 3 may be four, three or two, and that these boards are perpendicular with respect to each other. - The method for installing toilet piping further comprises the step of causing at least one
detachable floor panel 5 to define asecond accommodation space 6 therebeneath and causing the second accommodation space to communicate with thefirst accommodation space 4, wherein thesecond accommodation space 6 beneath the at least onedetachable floor panel 5 is provided with a plurality oflight steel rods 51 configured to support thefloor 9 and the at least onedetachable floor panel 5 of a building so that the at least onedetachable floor panel 5 can support heavier loads. - The method for installing toilet piping further comprises the step of disposing at least one
toilet 7 on the at least onedetachable floor panel 5. The at least onetoilet 7 can be disposed in any direction with respect to thestructural post 2, and can be disposed in different floors and arranged at different distances from thestructural post 2 according to the residents' needs. The at least onedetachable floor panel 5 is removable and detachable so that the location where the at least onetoilet 7 is to be installed can be customized. - The method for installing toilet piping further comprises the step of disposing a
second discharge pipe 8 in thesecond accommodation space 6 such that two ends of thesecond discharge pipe 8 respectively connect to the at least onetoilet 7 and thefirst discharge pipe 41, wherein one end of thesecond discharge pipe 8 passes through the at least onedetachable floor panel 5 to connect to the bottom of the at least onetoilet 7. Specifically, thesecond discharge pipe 8 can be embedded in thesecond accommodation space 6 and extend through the at least onedetachable floor panel 5, the plurality oflight steel rods 51 and thefloor 9. Furthermore, a plurality of pipes that include awater pipe 32 and acircuit pipe 33 can be disposed in thefirst accommodation space 4. - The structure and method for installing toilet piping of the present invention are characterized in that a plurality of boards perpendicular with respect to each other are disposed at a periphery of and in parallel with a structural post and define a first accommodation space together with the structural post, that a first discharge pipe is disposed in the first accommodation space and a second discharge pipe is disposed in a second accommodation space, that the second discharge pipe has one end connected to a toilet's bottom and the other end connected to the first discharge pipe, and that the toilet is removable with a detachable floor panel rather than being fixed in a stationary location. Therefore, the location where the toilet is to be installed is more flexible.
- It will be understood that the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described above, and that various variation or modifications can be made without departing from the scope and spirit of the present invention.
