Abstract
A curtain rail structure includes a first rail unit having two adjacent first sliding rails, each of which defining on one side a first sliding channel; a second rail unit movably connected with the first rail unit and including two second sliding rails separately and movably received in the first sliding rails and respectively defining on one side a second sliding channel corresponding to and communicating with one of the first sliding channels; and a plurality of hanging units separately and movably connected to the first and the second sliding rails and respectively including sliding members movably mounted to the first and the second sliding channels, and a hanger member connected to the sliding members. The second sliding rails can be extended from or retracted into the first sliding rails, allowing the curtain rail structure to be practically and conveniently used with differently sized windows and be easily mounted.
Description
- The present invention relates to a curtain rail structure, and more particularly to a length-adjustable and easily mountable curtain rail structure for practical and convenient use with windows of different sizes.
- Generally, a conventional multi-rail curtain rail structure mainly includes at an upper side of a window a plurality of rail units, each of which is provided at a lower side with a plurality of parallel arranged sliding channels, such that a sliding rod for hanging a curtain body is fitted in the sliding channels. The rail units are provided on an upper side with a plurality of retaining channels. The conventional multi-rail curtain rail structure also includes a locating unit having two locating members, which are separately and fixedly mounted at two sides of a window to support the rail units. Each locating member further includes a locating plate and a plurality of locating blocks serially arranged on the locating plate. The locating blocks are provided at a lower side with a rail coupler for engaging with the retaining channels of the rail units. The number of the rail couplers of the locating blocks and the rail units can be increased or decreased to enable the multiple curtain bodies to be hung at the sliding rail structure.
- While the conventional multi-rail curtain rail structure allows multiple curtain bodies to be hung therefrom, each rail unit has a fixed length and is unable to be extended or retracted to adjust an overall length thereof. Furthermore, to firmly mount the conventional multi-rail curtain rail structure for use, a large number of screws must be used to lock it to the window or the wall above the window. Therefore, the mounting of the conventional multi-rail curtain rail structure at the working site is inconvenient and time-consuming.
- It is therefore desirable to the inventor to develop an improved curtain rail structure that is length-adjustable and easily mountable for practical and convenient use with differently sized windows.
- A primary object of the present invention is to provide a curtain rail structure having a first rail unit and a second rail unit which are length-adjustable and easily mountable for practical and convenient use with differently sized windows.
- To achieve the above and other objects, the curtain rail structure according to the present invention includes a first rail unit having two adjacent first sliding rails, each of which defining on one side a first sliding channel; a second rail unit movably connected with the first rail unit and including two second sliding rails, each of which being separately and movably received in the first sliding rails and defining on one side a second sliding channel corresponding to and communicating with one of the first sliding channels; and a plurality of hanging units separately and movably connected with the first and second sliding rails, and respectively including a plurality of sliding members movably mounted to the first and second sliding channels, and a hanger member connected to the sliding members.
- To use the curtain rail structure of the present invention, the second sliding rails are extended from or retracted into the first sliding rails to adjust an overall length of the first and second rail units according to the size of a window. Therefore, the curtain rail structure of the present invention can be practically and conveniently used with differently sized windows and be easily mounted.
- The structure and the technical means adopted by the present invention to achieve the above and other objects can be best understood by referring to the following detailed description of the preferred embodiments and the accompanying drawings, wherein
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a curtain rail structure according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is an exploded view ofFIG. 1 ; -
FIG. 3 is a cross sectional view taken along line A-A′ ofFIG. 1 ; -
FIG. 4 shows the manner of adjusting an overall length of the curtain rail structure of the present invention; and -
FIG. 5 shows the curtain rail structure of the present invention with a shade body connected thereto. - Please refer to
FIGS. 1 and 2 , which are assembled and exploded perspective views, respectively, of a curtain rail structure according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention; and toFIG. 3 , which is a cross sectional view taken along line A-A′ ofFIG. 1 . As shown, the curtain rail structure of the present invention at least includes afirst rail unit 1, asecond rail unit 2, and a plurality ofhanging units 3. - The
first rail unit 1 at least includes two adjacent first slidingrails 11, each of which has a first side defining a first slidingchannel 12; afirst mounting seat 13 is provided at one end of the first slidingrails 11, and afirst rail coupler 14 is connected to a second side of the first slidingrails 11. - The
second rail unit 2 is movably connected to thefirst rail unit 1 and at least includes two second slidingrails 21, which are separately and movably received in the first slidingrails 11, each second sliding rail having a first side defining a second slidingchannel 22 corresponding to and communicating with the first slidingchannel 12; asecond mounting seat 23 is provided at one end of the second slidingrails 21, and asecond rail coupler 24 is connected to a second side of the second slidingrails 21. - The hanging
units 3 are movably connected to the first and thesecond rail unit hanging unit 3 at least includes a plurality of slidingmembers 31 movably mounted to the first slidingchannels 12 and the second slidingchannels 22; and ahanger member 32 connected to the slidingmembers 31. Thehanger members 32 are respectively provided on one face with a hook-and-loop fastener strip 33. -
FIG. 4 shows the manner of adjusting an overall length of the curtain rail structure of the present invention, andFIG. 5 shows the curtain rail structure of the present invention with a shade body connected thereto. Referring toFIGS. 3 , 4 and 5, when it is desired to mount the curtain rail structure of the present invention to a window (not shown) for use, a user first adjusts the overall length of the first andsecond rail units second rail units rails 21 slidably received in the first slidingrails 11 are extended from or retracted into the first slidingrails 11 to change the overall length of the first and thesecond rail units second rail units second mounting seats second rail couplers shade body 4 having hook-and-loop fastener strips 41 corresponding to the hook-and-loop fastener strips 33 is connected with thehanger members 32 by attaching the hook-and-loop fastener strips 41 to the hook-and-loop fastener strips 33 provided on one face of thehanger members 32. When theshade body 4 is pulled along the first and thesecond rail units members 31 and thehanger members 32 synchronously slide in the first and the second slidingrails shade body 4 to desired positions. - The present invention is novel and involves an inventive step because the provision of the first and the second rail units allows the whole curtain rail structure to be used with differently sized windows according to actual need. Further, the present invention can be easily mounted and is therefore, practical and convenient for use. The present invention is also industrially valuable because products derived from the present invention would no doubt fulfill the current market demands.
- The present invention has been described with a preferred embodiment thereof and it is understood that many changes and modifications in the described embodiment can be carried out without departing from the scope and the spirit of the invention that is intended to be limited only by the appended claims.
