Abstract
A locking mechanism installed or manufactured within any style of Cap or Plug for any and all diameters of pipes being loaded with explosives or any other materials, being transported or stored to ensure safety and eliminate theft.
Description
- The present application is related to Locking Caps that are manufactured worldwide for all applications:
- Patent # WO/1996/018061, PCT/EP1995/0044742, F16637/092 (2006.01), AB6505502FI, 70167, 4490996, 4554888
- The present application is, as well, related somewhat to locking caps with differences regarded in the incorporation of the Perforating Gun Lock and the usage for Safety on what the invention does for the appropriate application and case.
- Please note that “Perforating Gun Lock” refers to use of locking explosives inside a steel pipe before in use for Perforating a Drilling Well preparing for production.
- The present patent invention relates to safety issue of “Perforating Gun Lock” is need by turning this Perforating Gun Lock into a loaded Perforating Pipe loaded with explosives.
- The present invention relates to all different sizes of Perforating Gun Lock Plugs installed into Perforating loaded Pipes and used to lock the Perforating Pipes so these Perforating Pipes and also other pipes could not be stolen when transported or when stacked in a rack inside or outside of a building.
- This permits to users of the “Perforating Gun Lock” inside existing or new caps used on Perforating Pipes or any other pipes used for all applicable applications.
- Ever since the invention of Plugs for Pipe of all different applications the goal has been to increase the safety of personnel and the cost of replacement from theft. With locking caps and also with the Perforating Gun Lock the improvement of the Cap on present loaded Perforating Pipes loaded with explosives.
- It is another object of the invention, Commercial Business would use this Perforating Gun Lock because of the Safety Issue, next with these explosives getting into wrong personal hands and used improperly or not for the original use intended. The Perforating Gun Lock could not be removed from the pipe of all different assortments of applications and sizes.
- It is another object of the invention, the cost of replacement to the Commercial Businesses Replacing the loaded Perforating Pipes are so expensive and this invention would assist dramatically on the reduction of replacement by theft from the usage by the Commercial Businesses and also the Hot Shot Service industry that haul and store the Perforating Pipes loaded with explosives, which would also guarantee better safety and decreased risk of theft of the Perforating Pipes in all locations.
- In accordance with the present inventions, there is provided a locking cap for all applicable applications and usages.
- The invention “Perforating Gun Lock” will be installed in multiple uses of caps, widths, lengths and depths of where threads end on all pipes for all different applications, so not distorting any metal, plastic and/or any material used for the plugs on pipes. The locking mechanism used would have the appropriate locking mechanism for each applicable application.
- The invention “Perforating Gun Lock” when installed in any plugs could have different styles with S cam locks to straight cams and also would include all different styles of locks that could be installed into existing or new caps to facilitate the prevention of removal in all applicable applications.
- The invention “Perforating Gun Lock” when installed the “Safety” issue of Perforating pipes loaded with explosives for storage and transporting to work sites would be an extensive improvement over existing caps.
