    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • Referring to figures 1-3 of the drawings, there are illustrated two specific exemplifying embodiments of a locking system in accordance with the inventive concept, i.e. a locking system which is not possible to unlock if the locks of the locking system are tampered with. The locking system exemplified in Figure 1 and Figure 2 show different configurations of the locking system.
  • The present invention relates to a locking system comprising
    1. a. a casing (40);
    2. b. an operator lock (33) mounted within said casing;
    3. c. a main lock bolt (23) of the locking system which is displaceable between a fully displaced locking position and a fully retracted unlocked position;
    4. d. a main lock bolt maneuvering mechanism operable from outside of said casing and configured to displace said main lock bolt (23) between fully displaced locking position and a fully retracted unlocked position, said lock bolt maneuvering mechanism being configured to be lockable by said operator lock (33);
    5. e. at least one safety locking device;
    and said safety locking device is arranged at the operator lock (33), said safety locking device comprises a spring biased safety bolt system (9), wherein a safety lock releaser (31), and a connector (41), for example in the form of a wire, connecting said safety bolt system (9) to the safety lock releaser (31), which is configured of a fragile material, and is arranged to break when the operator lock (33) is tampered with and the safety bolt system (9) is thereby released, and is arranged to lock said lock bolt maneuvering mechanism.
  • In the embodiments illustrated in Figures 1-3, the main lock bolt maneuvering mechanism comprises a coupling (3) which is rotatable around a rotation axis and operably connected to the main lock bolt (23) to translate a rotational movement of the coupling (3) to a rectilinear movement of the main lock bolt (23). Moreover, the coupling (3) is operably connected to the main lock bolt (23) with a main lock bolt arm (17a) and the main lock bolt arm (17a) is arranged perpendicularly in relation to the rotation axis. Additionally, the main lock bolt arm (17a) at its respective ends is supported at pivotal joints disposed on the coupling (3) and on the main lock bolt (23). The coupling (3) is operated from the outside of the casing by a turning device (45) which can be rotated by an operator. Additionally, the locking system is configured to comprise one or more keyholes (39) which are aligned with one or more operator locks and wherein said keyholes are preferably arranged on the outside of the casing.
  • Reference is now made to the embodiments illustrated in Figures 1-3 in which a locking latch (20,46) is connected to the coupling (3) via a locking latch arm (17b). The locking latch arm (17b) is operably connected to the locking latch (20,46) to translate a rotational movement of the coupling (3) to a rectilinear movement of the locking latch (20,46). The locking latch (20,46) is arranged perpendicularly in relation to the rotation axis of the coupling (3) and the operator lock (33) is configured to be able to lock the movability of the locking latch (20,46) by means of an operator lock bolt (48) and thereby locking the movability of the coupling (3) and of the main lock bolt (23). The preferred embodiments of the invention shown in Figures 1-3 comprise two operator locks (33), as well as two pairs locking latches (20,46) and two locking latch arms (17b) engaging the respective pair of locking latches (20,46), which are all configured as described above. Further, embodiments are configured with one or more, e.g. 4 operator locks with associated safety locking devices.
  • The safety locking device comprises a spring biased safety bolt system (9), a safety lock releaser (31), and a connector (41), for example in the form of a wire, which connects the safety bolt system (9) to the safety lock releaser (31). The safety lock releaser (31) is configured of a fragile material such as glass, preferably a sheet of glass. The safety lock releaser (31) breaks when the operator lock (33) is tampered with and the safety bolt system (9) is consequently released. The safety bolt system (9), in this embodiment configured in a symmetric pair of spring biased safety locking bolts (7), configured to be able to lock the movability of the locking latch (20,46) and comprises at least one spring, preferably two parallel springs. Consequently, when the operator lock (33) is tampered with, the safety lock releaser (31) breaks, the springs are then released and force the safety locking bolts into a recess in the respective locking latch (20,46) thereby locking the movability of said locking latch (20,46). Consequently, the coupling (3) and thereby the main lock bolt (23) is immobilized and permanently locked, i.e. it is thereafter not possible to unlock the locking system with operator keys. Instead, the door comprising the locking system has to be demounted and/or destroyed in order to enter the space protected by the door. The embodiments of the invention shown in Figures 1-3 comprises two locking latch (20,46) pairs each being provide with an associated safety locking device configured as described above.
  • The preferred embodiments in Figures 1-3 comprise locking systems configured to comprise two keyholes (39), which are aligned with two operator locks (33) and two lock releasers (31), and wherein the keyholes are arranged on the outside of the casing. Additionally, the connector (41) in the preferred embodiments is preferably configured to be in contact with one or more rods (4) having the function of pulleys which help to configure the components with space efficiency within the casing, provide a free passage for the connector when the lock releaser breaks due to tampering and distribute biasing spring force in the connector to enable a stronger spring force being retained by the safety lock releaser (31).
  • The spring biased safety bolt system (9) illustrated in the shown embodiments exemplified in Figures 1-3 comprises two parallel springs (44) which are attached to two parallel rods wherein the rods are connected to two safety locking bolt (7). The spring biased safety bolt system further comprises two additional rods, the first rod which is connected to one end of the connector (41) and the second rod (12) which may be in contact with the connector.
  • The casing comprises two preferably symmetric side plates (40) provided with recesses providing guides for moving parts within the casing, shoulders for fixed parts within the casing and screws for assembling the casing.
  • Although figures 1-3 relate to locking systems with two operator locks (33), it is intended to be illustrative only. A locking system according to the present invention may also comprise from one to four operator locks (33) and wherein a safety locking device is arranged at each of the operator locks (33).
  • The locking system according to the present invention can be made in a variety of sizes. One of ordinary skill in the art will understand that a variety of sizes are possible without compromising the utility of the locking system.
  • The locking system according to the present invention is utilized in any type of door. Particularly, the locking system is used in doors which aim to hinder illicit entries such as illicit entries to rooms and spaces where explosives, weapons and valuables are being stored. One of ordinary skill in the art will understand that there are a variety of doors, as well as other types of arrangements for keepings materials locked, where the locking system according to the present invention can be deployed.
  • While the locking system according to the present invention has been described with reference to the above specific example in Figures 1-3, this is intended to be illustrative only and not to be limiting of the disclosure, it is noted that changes, additions and/or deletions may be made to the disclosed examples without departing from the scope of the disclosure.
