Abstract

An auto-cleaning device for an indoor air conditioner includes an indoor air conditioner, a cleaning box and a detergent tank. The indoor air conditioner includes a main base having an air entry and an air exit. A heat exchanger and at least one fan are set under the main base. A filter is put in the air entry. The cleaning box assembled under the indoor air conditioner has an overflow exit, a water exit, and a fan motor to drive the at least one fan. The detergent tank is connected with the indoor air conditioner, containing a detergent solution. In using, let the detergent solution flow into the cleaning box and then, start the fan motor to turn around the at least one fan to make the solution swirled to automatically carry out washing, quickly diminishing bacteria, dirt and smell. The waste solution is finally drained from the water exit.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • This invention relates to an auto-cleaning device for an indoor air conditioner, particularly to one provided with a cleaning box that is assembled under the indoor air conditioner, having an overflow, a water exit, and a fan motor used to activate at least one fan. The indoor air conditioner is connected with the cleaning box containing a detergent solution via a connecting tube. In using, first, let the detergent solution flow into the cleaning box and then, start the fan motor to turn around the at least one fan to make the detergent solution swirled to automatically carry out washing, quickly diminishing bacteria, dirt and smell. The waste detergent solution is finally drained from the water exit.
  • 2. Description of the Prior Art
  • Commonly, as shown in FIG. 1, a conventional air conditioner (A) is fixedly positioned on the ceiling by means of screws (N), including a main body (A10), an air exit (A11), an air entry (A12), a filter (A13) and a fan (A14) etc. All components inside the air conditioner (A) may be accumulated with dirt to become hotbeds beneficial for growing bacteria after having run the air conditioner (A) for a certain period of time. The dirt or the bacteria may be blown out of the air exit (All) during operation, not only downgrading air quality but also harmful to health. As the air conditioner (A) is very heavy, it needs several laborers to work together to uninstall the air conditioner (A) when it is to be cleaned up, and to install it again after cleaning. That is really a tough and bothersome job.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The objective of this invention is to offer an auto-cleaning device to wash the diverse components inside an indoor air conditioner, achieving a purpose of quickly diminishing bacteria, dirt and smell.
  • The main characteristics of the invention are an indoor air conditioner, a cleaning box and a detergent tank. The indoor air conditioner is provided with a main base, an air entry cut at one side of the main base, and an air exit opened at the side opposite to the air entry. Installed under the main base are a heat exchanger and at least one fan. A shaft is centrally installed through the at least one fan. A filter is disposed in the air entry. The cleaning box is assembled under the indoor air conditioner, provided with an overflow exit bored on its top, a water exit positioned at one side of its bottom, a fan motor installed outside it for driving the at least one fan, and a bearing set at the side opposite to the fan motor. The detergent box is connected with the indoor air conditioner via a connecting tube.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
  • This invention is better understood by referring to the accompanying drawings, wherein:
  • FIG. 1 is a side view of a conventional indoor air conditioner, showing it being fixed on the ceiling;
  • FIG. 2 is a side view of a preferred embodiment of an auto-cleaning device for an indoor air conditioner in the present invention, showing it being fixed on the ceiling;
  • FIG. 3 is an exploded perspective view of the preferred embodiment of an auto-cleaning device for an indoor air conditioner in the present invention;
  • FIG. 4 is a side view of the preferred embodiment of an auto-cleaning device for an indoor air conditioner in the present invention, showing the indoor air conditioner being operated; and
  • FIG. 5 is a side view of the preferred embodiment of an auto-cleaning device for an indoor air conditioner in the present invention, showing it being operated to carry out washing.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • As shown in FIGS. 2˜4, a preferred embodiment of an auto-cleaning device for an indoor air conditioner in the present invention includes an indoor air conditioner 1, a cleaning box 2 and a detergent tank 3.
  • The indoor air conditioner 1 is provided with a main base 10 located at its top, which is provided with plural positioning holes 100 bored around its top edge for being threadably fixed on a ceiling by means of screws (N), and a rim 101 extended out around its bottom edge and bored with plural threaded holes 102. An air entry 11 is cut at one side of the main base 10 and an air exit 12 is opened at the side opposite to the air entry 11. At least one through hole 13 is bored at one side of the main base 10. Installed under the main base 10 are a heat exchanger 14 and at least one fan 15. A shaft 150 is centrally installed through the at least one fan 15. A filter 16 is disposed in the air entry 11.
  • The cleaning box 2 is assembled under the indoor air conditioner 1, provided with a rim 20 formed around its top edge, an overflow exit 21 bored just below the rim 20, a water exit 22 positioned at one side of its bottom, a fan motor 23 installed on an outer surface of the cleaning box 2 for supporting the shaft 150 to activate the at least one fan 15, and a bearing 24 set at the side opposite to the fan motor 23 for engaging with the shaft 150. The rim 20 is bored with plural positioning holes 200 corresponding to the threaded holes 102 of the rim 101 of the main base 10 for being fixed under the indoor air conditioner 1 by means of screws (N).
  • The detergent tank 3 is connected with the at least one through hole 13 via a connecting tube 30, containing a detergent solution that is mixture of detergent and water.
  • In using, as shown in FIGS. 2, 4 and 5, first, let the detergent solution in the detergent tank 3 flow through the connecting tube 30 into the cleaning box 2 to keep the components of the indoor air conditioner 1 such as the heat exchanger 14, the at least one fan 15 and the filter 16, etc. immersed in the detergent solution. By the time, the extra detergent solution can flow out through the overflow exit 21. Next, start the fan motor 23 to turn around the at least one fan 15, so as to keep the detergent solution swirled to automatically clean the components of the indoor air conditioner 1. After washing, the contaminated solution can be drained from the water exit 22 of the cleaning box 2. Both of the overflow exit 21 and the water exit 22 are connected with conduits (B) to let water flow out. Thus, such an auto-cleaning device can quickly get rid of bacteria, dirt and smell inside the indoor air conditioner 1.
  • While the preferred embodiment of the invention has been described above, it will be recognized and understood that various modifications may be made therein and the appended claims are intended to cover all such modifications that may fall within the spirit and scope of the invention.
