IMPROVEMENT IN ADJUSTABLE MUSIC-HOLDERS.

Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 200,262, dated February 12, 1878; appllcation filed June 1s, 1877.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, LUIGI DAURIA, subject of the King of Italy, and residing in Baltimore, Maryland, 57 2 West Fayette street, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Movable Supporters for Racks, Desks, Tables, &c.; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, true, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing,y forming part of this specification, in which- Figure 1 is a perspective View of the supporters in combination with a piano and its rack. Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the supporter only. Fig. 3 is a perspective view of the supporters in combination with a table and its base.

The object of my invention is to connect a rack with a piano or organ, a desk with its table, a table with its base, &c., with a movable supporter, which consists in two double cranks, situated one at each side of the rack, desk, table, Sto., as shown in the drawing, in whichc, Fig. l, is the top of a piano, organ, or table. b is a common music-rack. A B C D, Figs. 1, 2, and 3, represent the double links,

with the pieces which connect them with the rack and the desk or table. a and b, Fig. 3, represent a table and its base, connected, by means of the two double links B C, with their attaching and supporting devices A D.

The pivots which join the links together, platforms A, and pieces D, are cut in such a manner that the upper link C can be moved' over the lower link B and under the piece D. With such disposition the rack, desk, or table can be moved in any direction, either parallel to its longer` axis or at right angles thereto.

The double links can be constructed of metal or any other suitable material 5 and I do not limit myself to any special number of these movable supporters, as I may use any number of links which would beconvenient.

What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

.The pivoted links B O, attaching-pieces A, and supporting devices D, in combination with a suitable base, c, and with or without the leaf-rack b', substantially as described.
