This invention has for its object to provide a cap with means for permitting adjustment of the cap as to size and so arranged that no puclrers or gathers are formed and no elasticpressure against the head of the wearer iscaused to take place.

Another object of the invention is to provide an adjustable cap having a sweat band that is yieldable and can be lengtliened oi' contracted but will retain its shape in all positions of adjustment.
